Just baught a 2000 RS250 - Can anyone help with the following?
Suspension - Best settings for a 12 stone, Sunday morning B road thrasher (with the odd track day). Previous owner has changed all settings, front and rear.
Tyres - BT090's...Any good?
Pipes - I can buy a full 'DEP' system for 150.00...Is this worth buying?...When fitted, do I have to rejet, or can it run as standard?

I've just got a DEP system myself. Ash at AK 2 Stroke Centre really rates them. Reckons the top end is good if not better than arrows but midrange not so good.

150 seems good value as arrows are 's new and rare 2nd hand.

Is the dep system new or secondhand ???

Can't help you with the other bits as I'm new to them myself and haven't got my bike running yet.

There secondhand...about 90% good - but with a bit of shot blasting, paint and TLC they should look nearer99%.

Buy them-NOW!! I've got my bike started today with the new dep pipes and it sounds fantastic. Only problem is they foul the rr brake lever so some modding required.

What modifications have you had to make?

Have you rejetted, or are you running standard?

Indeed I do...But its not that close to York...Nearer Garforth!!

Standard jetting is ok and advised by DEP.

the only modification i need to do is either fit rearsets or make some jack up plates for the original hangers. I can't operate the rear brake as it fouls on the expansion chamber.

They do say you just bang dents in to suit but don't fancy that.;)

Its a black 'un (Harada rep)...I'm there most Sundays.
Bought the RS about 2 weeks ago, wanted one for years but never strayed from the fours...Wish I'd of done it before because it's just silly!!!. If the wife knew how I felt, she'd be jelous...

Beanarillo - I'll be fitting the pipes over the next few days, I'll let you know how I go on. These pipes have come of an RS so maybe they've been modded.

That'd be great. Could save me some serious head-scratching.
