Hey guys when i shift my 2012 rsv4 r aprc in 1st gear i dont hear the valves opening like the 2010 factory one.

If i put the race ecu will the valves open when i shift in 1st gear...

I am getting the race ecu fitted...what difference will i feel after the change....

After fitting race ecu your exhaust butterfly valve will be always open. Also the open position is the default position.

You don't need race ecu to have that valve open. All you need is to remove the cables that open/close the valve.

That is for all models up to 2016 I think.

this is not correct. it only opens once the bike is in gear (with the race map)

I doubt yours is always open unless you removed your cables and safety wired your flapper open

Why would you safety wire the flapper? Once disconnected it is always open with fairly strong spring continuously pushing it.

Gabro & several others discovered that the spring is not strong enough to keep the flapper open at wide open throttle & the result of it partially closing is a loss of horse power.

On my 2014 factory with Race ECU the exhaust valve stays closed until around 6000RPM. After that it opens untill the revs drop back down. Heaps nicer to ride on commute sections still sounds super mean in the twisties.

Yeah man, 100% Race ecu. Dont know why people would take off flapper valve on a street bike, so much more pleasant.
