Does anyone know the carb factory settings of a 1995 RS250? I.e. the jet sizes, float hieght and needle depth (which groove the washer should be in)??
My RS has never run properly since i got it, one cylinder has had a new barrel and piston and it is now running of both cylinders. However it has no power. It wil idle and rev in neutral but as soon as you try to pull away it has no power - ti won't even pull it's own weight with me off the bike. It's not the clutch, the powervalves are working and it is beginning to annoy me now.
Does anyone know of an RS specialist (garage or private) who can sort these things cheaply and well?
Any help would be great.
Cheers
Rhys

Hi Rhys

The only help i can offer is that one carb should have a main jet of 270 and pilot jet (bottom of float bowl) of 55. Other one should be 280 and pilot of 35. Not sure about the groove position.

Try either Stu Jones or Ash at AK on +44(1934) 863361 in the uk, he'll know for sure.

The stock pilot jets are both #27.5 per the manual. I just replaced mine with #35s, and I personally verified this.:D
