View Full Version : Turismo Veloce/Lusso Opinions

I'm in the market for a sporty sport touring bike and found my way to the local Italian dealer that introduced me to the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce. This was 20 minutes after sitting on a Yamaha FJ-09. Liked both, but would like to hear opinions and honest thoughts from Turismo owners. What do you like? What do you hate? What would you like to change?

Just trying to make an informed decision here. I am going to try to take a test ride in a week. But I'd like to hear some ownership stories. This would be a daily rider with fun weekend duty.

I have ridden the Lusso and the FZ09. The Lusso is my favourite bike on the rode right now. It is one of the best bikes I have ridden. The FZ much like the FJ is a good bike but the quality will not approach the MV. Price won't either. The MV 800 motor is a great motor and well built. The FJ also has a nice motor. The suspension on the MV is awesome while the FJ suspension is just short of CRAP. The MV no clutch up shift and down shift works flawlessly. The Yamaha is old school. The Cruse control works great on the MV. The Yamaha wishes it had that. The ABS works great on the MV. In the States Yamaha I believe has none. The MV is a supermodel, the yamaha looks like a parts bin hobbo. I like Yamaha's products but in comparison to MV I will choose MV. The best MV dealer in CA is in Escondido CA. Check out Moto Forza. Honest family owned business and great service. They love MV's. Go MV or go budget.
