There already is an 'Aprilia Caponord owners' on FB with 70 odd members
There are also some spin off groups for the ACIM and Clan Capo

I personally like the international feel

feel free that's the beauty of a democracy
but still not there, a direct copy and paste gives no results

Something amiss with your group as the link above works

Sorry not for me. FB is so last year! Twitter's better according to my kids.
FB for me is full of adverts and that seems to be it's commercial purpose.
But best of luck anyway.

Groups do not get the adverts its member exclusive but I do get annoyed with farse book in general myself.

We use FB to keep in contact with now distant relations and friends... very cheaplyalso on a few accident weather warning sites and motor vehicle interest pages.

FB is an invaluable tool in the world of dog rescue so we rely heavily on it. Also when you've moved around as much as I have it's nice to keep track of school friends who you wouldn't otherwise :) Just yesterday I was sent a a picture of a letter that got written to me 22 years ago by one of my school friends when I moved from England to Scotland.... she never posted it but found it in her house move.... it's a nice amusing trip down memory lane that you simply wouldn't get without the power of FB!

Yes, our local village FB page is great if your dog or cows have gone missing, and I've found friends from decades ago, meet new friends in our travels and stayed in contact when they returned home and when they revisited several times later. They are from Newport Pagnell UK.

Pretty rude to use a free site hosted by a company that doesn't force adverts onto members, to promote a rival site hosted by a commercial entity, IMHO.
What's your agenda, OP?
Yes, I'm over 25, and have REAL friends....

You obviously don't need to go on social media to find a troll

Another non facebooker here I'm afraid, i'm on there but rarely use it, find the whole thing quite annoying if I'm honest but each to their own, it's a great 'social' tool for sure, I'm quite a private person so it's just not my thing.

good luck with it though.

I don't post much at all about me & keep details to a minimum, its for info & social contact.
I ran Skype through it last night so the wife could see her brothers
family near Perth W.A., on the other side of the country, from her hospital bed.

I'd hate to see the BRILLIANT TECHNICAL CONTENT of this forum become diluted across a number of websites. The contributions made on here far and away exceed most other bike sites and without the advice given on this site I doubt that there would be many Capo's still running.
Of course FB is a social site, and that's how it's set-up. Best of luck to it, but I find the existing content very good here.

Should the stock reply on facebook be "go to the AF1 Forum and use search" now then?
I wouldn't like to offend anyone by replying to a cry for help on FB, heaven forbid.

for me its a keep in touch tool for family and distant friends. Joining the Capo FB section is just another reach at a community. If its not for you its fine but Forums scare people off too.

My brother's a CISO for a major US corporation; he's very good at what he does and gets paid accordingly; he also keeps an eye out for his teenaged neice and thankfully, she acknowledges his experience and if he makes a suggestion, takes the advice seriously. For eg, does she really know all 400+ "friends" on FB? Within a week, she'd culled three-quarters of them.
Uncle Kev became a bit concerned that one of her FB friends had the name Film Watchinporn... got to be an alias, right? Well no - actually, Film's a Thai exchange student, one that I've actually met briefly over here.... and she's a good kid.
But generally, FB? Like I need another reason to waste that much time? E-mail, txt, a phone call or forums like this one works for me. YMMV.

There's a few now from here on the 'UK FB page' and a few Aussies on the Capo 'world page'... not really a lot different to PM discussions on here.
BTW,I've been using FB as Job networking tool keeping in touch with old work friends about changes in the market landscape while I'm a full time carer for my wife, which could end very soon in a number of ways...
Even local positions here are often just posted locally on FB or the Post Office notice board (which I rarely read)
to be picked up by a family member or friend and past on.
Once back at work I'll probably rarely check FB..

I use it and happy too, I wouldn't start using it just to talk capo tho. Its like tuonoworld im a member but rarely see the need to bother login on as AF1 answers questions I need and I'm affiliated here already. So I do see the points :)
