View Full Version : Mivv!!!

Finally got my new MIVV cans installed. Went on really slick. Surprised how much empty space is on the back with the stock ones removed. The bummer is that the stock cans have a little pin that holds the tail light up from flopping around. Have any of you noticed that? Had to shim the light up agains the license plate beam to get it back in place.

Cans sound really good though. Nice deep italian purrrrrrr. Certainly leaned things up a bit but with the fat duc installed it all works like a charm. I don't even get the soot around the end either. Did run with the baffles out and holy hell, that pipe is loud. Probably won't be running it around town like that. Now, the only thing left to do is figure out how to remove the tail beam and relocate the license and blinkers for a smoooth rear end.

Locky, I'm on it. I'm working on a plan to remove the entire cluster of crap from the tail. I have a license plate and light plan, but still figuring out what to do with the seat lock cable. At that point I will probably need something to hold the tail light up more. Always a challenge, but part of the fun.

Do you have an audio clip?

I don't have an audio clip yet, but this is the one that sold me.

I also have them fitted. Sound brilliant.

So far without the DB killers in I only get 82 miles to one full tank. I'm going to try them fitted to see how it goes then.

I'm loving the Mivvs. I have the DB killers in too but mileage is unaffected. Even in stock trim mileage isn't any different so I am guessing an aftermarket pipe is only a change in sound and not performance on the dorso. It's nice not having any fueling troubles. As I understand from my dealer, the 2012 model came with a full tune Map similar to the arrow race.

Thanks for the info. . Will fit the DB killers and see how I get on.

Xman--- Where did you buy the cans from? They look killer:worship:

I actually ordered them off amazon. Came straight from Dragmoto in Italy in a couple of weeks. They really are great cans and at half the price of arrows or Akros, they are well worth it. Build quality is top notch. Very solid and easy to install.

Thanks Xactoman. I installed the DB killers and get the same miles again 82L. So took them back out as I love the sound of the MIVV's. Next stop is to check the map installed. Do you know what map is installed on your bike? Have you fitted a new air filter or installed a FatDuc?

I do have a fatduc installed and it helps considerably with low end roll on and idle burble on roll-off. Not sure what the map is called, but dealer confirmed that I have the latest map for the US market that came out in 2012. He thought that it was something like April Universal Map....not sure. Thought maybe it was something like the arrow open map. Haven't put the air filter in yet, but that is coming sometime this summer.

Nothing has effected MPG short of driving slow, shifting below 4k and highway cruising....but what fun is that :) I generally get U.S. 25-35mpg or 75 miles per tank. On the highway it will get somewhere close to 42 MPG U.S.
