View Full Version : does your brake light flash on and off when you switch on?

have noticed that brake light flashes when you switch bike on for just a second or so

in workshop book page 168/169 it mentions that this indicates that throttle body activation has taken place and is ok, also talks about engine start being prevented if you do it wrong and something about 150 activations (bad Italian translations!!)

does anyone know if this is so and how it works (in English!) - I ask as bike occasionally runs rough and have noticed that sometimes this lamp flash doesn't happen, have not put the two events together as yet so don't know if it is throttle cal causing my issue, of course as its an intermittent issue its hard to track down

This is part of teh start up procedure to check the systems when you switch on. It's carried out by the on board computer so I dont think its something thats easy to get to and carry out any changes. My 750 Dorsoduro does the same and I am sure that my old pegaso strada did too.

thanks, does it mean anything then if it doesn't do it?
