Have lewd thoughts of the 1200 ripping my arms out, the front wheel not staying on the ground and sports bike riders bowing on their knees to the massive torque and power of the 1200 DD as it blasts them into oblivion! Well, something like that, perhaps. Not sure whether the weight gain cancels out the extra push the 1200 has over my (relatively) nimble 750? Any comments welcome... The good, the bad and the ugly.. Thanks guys..

I had the 750 and now the 1200. The 1200 all the way.

The 1200 is alot quicker. I rode them back to back, the 750 was a nicer bike but the 1200 power wins every time

I upgraded from 750 to 1200. Fuelling is much better on 1200. I didn't even bother with fatduc. It's even quite rideable in the sports mode which 750 wasn't. For the right price its a great upgrade.

Thanks guys - there's a few going for pretty good prices - all pretty much in standars kit though - 1 has arrow slip-ons which is attractive. Mine has a bunch of mods which would cost a lot to put on the 1200 if I decided to get some after-market gear. Reviews I've read say it's a bit heavy compared to the 750 which compromises it's flickability. I do enjoy the 750 but like most motorcycle riders, want more grunt on tap even though it may rarely be used... Does the 2013 model with the lighter wheels (3 spoked) actually go quicker than the previous model?

I bought the 2013 rims off a forum member here and they made a good improvement. Search here and you'll find the thread.

Just do it! 1200 can be had for the cost of the 750. There is no replacement for displacement!! vroooom!
