Hey all.

Finally picked up my new DD 1.2 last week. Traded my triumph speed triple in on it. So far love it. Very politically incorrect. But a world of fun.

Just a quick one. Has any one installed a set of the pipe werx pipes to these and what are their feelings of them. I know Arrow are OEM pipe at the moment for aprilia. But they are in my opinion WAY to over priced for what they are. They are working on their name. I have used arrows on most of my bikes and yes they are good pipes but not as good as the price tag they ask for them now. So was considering a set of pipe werx. Whats your thoughts. Also where is the cat on these. Is it in the y piece before the cans ???. And what cat delete pipes are on the market.

Congrats on the DD:cheers:

The Cats are in the cans themselves, not in the Y pipe.

I removed the Cats on my DD and it does make it sound better. It has a noticably deeper sound now and throttle response has improved.
Pics of Cat removal are in my thread: http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?293427-2013-DD-1200-from-South-Africa

I have fitted the carbon pipes from pipewerx, I am very pleased with them and love how they sound with the baffles out. The only thing you will need with them is a pair of 60mm exhaust gaskets (I ended up using a pair of gaskets for a Suzuki bandit). The only problems I have had is that I had to get micro indicators for the rear as I found that the stock ones were rubbing against the pipes due to vibration and would have worn a hole in them, and that the fuelling is now crap and that there is an extremely strong smell of fuel on me after riding. That being said I still won't put on the stock pipes as I love the sound of the slip-on's too much.

Yeah you don't see a lot of them in SA. Which is good. Nice to be a bit different
