Hi, I've been looking on adrenalin-pedstop for parts and I've noticed stickyparts are really cheap, they say it because they have a direct supply from the manufacturer. Has any one bought/ had experience with stickyparts, if so hows the build quality? Is it worth spend extra money to buy something more expensive like airsal or athena.

I've got the 120 Stickyparts kit. It's very nicely finished. However, the thing you need to ask yourself is: Do I want bottom end power, or do I want top end power. I opted for more bottom end power (Thus a lower top speed). The Stickyparts kit is a mildly tuned item.

Bottom end power is probably best suited for me, the bbk I'm looking at is at 95 (http://www.adrenalin-pedstop.co.uk/p-Minarelli_AM6_70cc_cylinder_kit_for_Aprilia_RS_50_ etc-5812.aspx). Hows the reliability and do you know how much extra hp it produces?

The 95 is about 7 hp and the 120 is about 10hp good all round kits I suppose but if want real power stay away you can get airsal kits at same price with 15hp

i had had a airsal sport on my rs till I crashed it so when it came to my Rx I thought I would go for a more robust kit as the airsal must be used on best oil and petrol or it will blow up and I just found the 120 stickyparst kit to be well gut less compared to the airsal so I've now took it off and am using a top performance pink top what is similar just a bit more torque I do wish now I brought the airsal sport

Last time I checked you can get the airsal sport single ring at vsmotoparts
racing planet
Scootfast
and adrenaline pedstop I think scootfast and vsmotoparts were the cheapest I brought mine from vsmotoparts with a crank exhaust and somet else I forgot for 250 but I had discount code

Get the Top Performances 73.5 kit mate, loads of torque already at relativly low rpm and pretty fast.

Airsal is a more agresive kit, not as much power down low, especaily the single ring kit.

Still out runs a stickyparts for same money and a tp black

Well, Ryan did say he wanted more low down power. This would probably exclude the Airsal kit.

More low down power would be more suited for my use as I'll mainly be riding around town. The main thing I'm after is a inexpensive bbk (around 100) preferably getting as much power as I can but still being reliable.

Looking on ScootFast, what does this mean
Inc advised: € 166.99
SF PRICE: € 125.65 which price do I pay? Is one including VAT and one not?

For around 100gpb the Sticky Parts than... if you want something better the Black TP 73.5cc kit.

Dont know whar you can buy it in the UK though.

I chose the Stickyparts kit because it's an iron barreled two ring kit. I wanted some extra power, but it had to be durable. The 120 7 port kit filled that specification. The 95 kit is a 5 port job. That would explain why it has lower power than the 120 kit. At the end of the day, it's your choice.

You pay the price in red so €125.65 what is 100 so it's 20 cheaper than stickyparts 120 kit and has 5 more hp but be warned scootfast tend to block my bank as I had never ordered from there but once I told the bike they let me order

there translation is horible, but i think the Inc Adviced is the Factory Adviced price, ansd the SF Price is the Scoot Fast specail price, but not sure...

That Airsal has no power at medium or low rpm at all... but go ahead and buy it, its exactly what you say you dont want.

Interesting.

If I've read this right, the link you've provided is for the Top Performance Trophy kit. It is available in the UK form Racing Planet for 150. However, they're advertising the kit as 70cc.

Yep it's ad articled somewhere else think it's vsmotoparts as a 75cc and there was one I found few year ago that advanced it as a 80cc it's same with all kits

for example the airsal 50mm sport kit is a true 76cc for the am6 engine but some places ad it as a 73 75 77 79 80 none of them really know what there selling

Its defenatly 73.5cc, do the math, the Pink TP Due Plus kit is a 49.5mm bore and its 75cc, a 50mm bore would be 76cc.

Zav, thats because the Airsal might actualy not be a 50mm kit...

How are polini bbks, found an cast iron 80cc one for 130, not quite sure what to buy at the moment but I've got plenty of time to think. First I need to save enough, I'm working on getting an Saturday job.

So the the stickyparts are best for town use and under 50-60mph on country roads? For under 130 they're also Top Performances and Parmakit 70cc cast iron kits anyone know how these would perform?

From my experience, Stickyparts 70cc 7 port 120 kits are great! Much more low down torque, power in mid range and a stronger and wider powerband. Pulls strong till around 11,500rpm and will over rev down hill etc.
Its pulling 14:47 gearing on my RS and still revving out in 6th nicely, indicating around 70mph on a flat. I have been clocked at 73mph down the A505 by a mate in his car too! Out accelerates a most of my mates 1.1,1.2 and 1.4 cars to around 50-55mph! :)
Theres no flat spots, very smooth and much more power. Great. :)

The ports where dressed nicely, the piston looks good quality and the cylinder head was of mirror finish. I cannot complain with the kit and would recommend it. Don't mock it until you try it! I have used this kit for over 4000miles and the bore still looks as new and runs just like it always has done!

Btw, The RS is keeping with all 125 4 strokes I have came across, so It must be around 12hp!

Thanks for that, I'm currently not sure what to go for at the moment, but I've got the time it takes for me to earn enough. Going to try the local bike shop on the weekend.

Yes, thats the one, i got the older model wich has an aluminium head gasket, cilinderkit is fine but cant get the right gasket, the one from the DR doesnt fit propperly.

There powerfull cilinders wich are pretty durable, lot of pulling power already at lower rpms, and power builds up smoothly.
