Just wondering what everyone has paid for their 10,000km service as I'm due now for mine. This might give everyone an indication on where you are getting value for money from a dealer.

I've been quoted $350 and $450 from two different dealers and both included oil/filter changes.

Mind sharing what are the things the dealers will replace/check during the 10000 km service?

I've just been told $280 by my dealer which I think is cheap, so am curious to see what the difference might be.

With oil and filter too? Not actually part of the 10k service but I'm getting it done.

It's in the back of the user manual.

Yupe I read it. Most are to check, clean and replace when necessary. So the price that we quoted does it includes the replacement parts or just the checking cost?

There are no parts in the 10k service but I chose to get the oil/filter done even though it's not required.

Does seem pretty reasonable. I just paid that for an 'interim service', which included oil and filter. Everything else was a clean, lube, check and adjust.

I'll probably get them to do oil and filter. I'm guessing it doesn't included it.

Oil is done at the 20,000Km service. My opinion is oil should be changed at 10,000Km

Yeah I'm getting mine done at 10k, for the extra ~$100AUS it makes sense to do it and protect your engine.

My UK dealer quoted me around 200 for teh 10000kms (6000 mile) service. Not sure if that includes the oil and filter but if it doenst I wil change it myself. Its not hard to do after all.

I check my bike over every week so I didn't see the point of paying someone 200 to do it for me. I took my bike in and got them to cancel the spanner when it appeared. That said I also changed the oil myself at 6000 miles. P.S when you do this be careful of the sump bolt - big bolt small torque setting !

I was told last night when I dropped my bike in for a service that it includes a oil and filter change for the $280. Also ran through the recalls, mine isn't up for the center stand bolts but looks like it is due for the blow back piping and the ECU. I am hoping the ECU will fix my fueling issues.

That's really cheap so you must have a good dealer.

That statement is usually the opposite in reality.
