They dont give the DD too many kind words, but I love the part about the wheelie gods! Absolutely true!

I sold my DD12 a year ago and I'm currently searching for a XR650R. Coincidence?

There's also this review, its of the 750 but gives the the 1200 a good mention providing you don't care about the popo and just want a powerhouse! It's definitely 'enjoyable' for me, and don't see how it's too light..

"It's so powerful, on a frame that weighs barely over 400 pounds, unfueled, that it's shocking to remember that Aprilia used to sell a 1200cc version of the same bike. (The bike is no longer sold in the U.S. in part because it was simply too light and too fast to be enjoyable for most riders.)

I agree; they were unkind with the comments on handling. In my opinion it out handles my old monster (S2r1000) hands down. It still surprises me how well you can throw it into a corner.

My favorite line from one of the test riders was " this is a great bike if you want to loose your license "

agree, the throttle is easily controllable, although it must be said that even taking it easy I have had the TCS cut in once or twice on dirt or chippings

We'll I don't know what they are carping on about when it comes to cornering all my mates ride super sports and I have no problems leaving them for shit through really tight stuff ( personally I hate straight line power duels). I had an mv brutale before this and the dd kills it in every aspect

I want to buy one but the stealership who sells them by me will not give me a test ride.Told me we got plenty of other bikes for ya,we could get ya on a gsxr or something.WTF I don't want a gsxr.I'd pay someone to let me ride theres even if its just up and down the street, just ride it no wheelies, stoppies or any other hooligan behavior.I just want to make sure I like a bike before I get married to it.kabiche?;)
