i currently have a 10 mile commute on city roads, as you may imagine the bike is only warm for the last 3/4 miles, at the moment the temp here is between 6 and 12 degrees (night/day), no doubt the bike is staying in a rich fuel map as the MPG is barely making 25!! does anyone have any experience of blanking off the radiator in part to make the bike warm up quicker? any help would be good thanks

Try an electric blanket on mild during the night.

haha electric blanket, thats actually a great idea.. And tucking the Dorsoduro in every night would be a laugh!
Try it and post some pics of it wrapped up!

trainman - your thermostat all right? not sure as bike is new to me, how long does yours take to get to 3 bars on the temp display? I assume you have some cold weather where you are!! Its about 8 degrees daytime here,

how long does yours take to get to 3 bars on the temp display?

Generally, after 2-3 minutes of movement.

During warming up temperature is higher than 1 bar does not rise.
