Hey Stef.To fit Fender eliminated they will need 1 longer bolt, cut and solder wires and drill another wiring hole. Will not fit straight out of packet. Fitted mine last weekend.

Hi guys, another Capo owner here in Sydney. I'm from the Hills so pretty close to you guys, would definitely be up for catching up with people for a ride.

FYI on the fender eliminator. I couldn't stand the huge plate used to mount the license plate but didn't want to spend the cash on the kit, especially seeing as the structure behind looks pretty sleek as is. I simply took it apart and used a single, small piece of aluminium to replace the two large plastic portions. A little fiddly but you can only tell it is a homemade job if you look behind the number plate. It also allows you to keep the reflector and light so is 100% legal. I'll try posting some photos later.

Hi Stef. Are you happy with the arrow slip-on.

Stef.
08-18-2013, 04:23 PM
Hi Mat I'm happy not happy about the price but approved by aprilia so you fit them on and works, no backfire no popping
no remap need.Nice deep note not laud but once you crack the throttle just comes alive, again not too laud does not reaping you ears for me jus right I don't want any louder. There are no removable baffles so you can't make them any louder if you are really after loud pipes that wont be the right one.
PS price 2189.00 Aussie dollars I got them bit cheaper $ 1800 dealer discount

Any of you guys with Capo 1200's, make sure you have the map updates installed.
We just finished a 1st service on one & then after riding it we updated the mapping & rode it again, the difference was pretty big.
Much smotther at low rpm etc.

Is there any way for a user to tell what map version the bike has before it's brought in?

G'day all, I'm also in Sydney, like gavmess I'm down south in Engadine, I do shift work so get to go on mid week rides if anybody is interested, Got my Capo in December 14 and loving it to bits got over 4,500 k's on so far, I have a couple of questions to ask. I've used about 450mls of oil in the first 4,000 k's (I told by Bikebiz say this is the norm) ?? Secondly has anybody fitted the multimedia kit to the Capo?

cheers
Mick

Mine hasnt used any oil ever but I bought it with 5000klms on it and now have 15k.

Yes to multimedia kit http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?284253-Aprilia-Multimedia-Platform&p=3622677&viewfull=1#post3622677

G'day mickmack, 450mls in 4000kms.....I'd like that - mine uses 200ml per 1000k though it may be settling down now. I've got 7,500k up, but haven't topped up over the last 500k (I dropped the oil at 4000k and again at 7000k....using semi syn 15w50 Motorex till the 10,000 scheduled service). My other bike is an 05 Blackbird that I put 122,000km on and the oil level on the dipstick does not drop before the 6000k change. BMW owners tell me Euro twins can use oil till 10-15,000kms before they bed in and seal up (I hope they are right). I would not worry about 100ml/1000k. Hey - what do you reckon about the trick ADD suspension? I reckon it's great (I'm used to Ohlins on my B'bird). Cheers

G'day all, thanks for the info, the bikes got Motul 5100 from the bike shop after the first service, I'm not a great fan of Motul so Motorex might be the go, as for my multimedia platform I'm have troubles down loading from my phone htc one to the computer windows 7 most of what comes across is in gooba very unreadable just wondering what type of text file I should be opening with
