fitted an afermarket exhaust system (sounds the nuts unknown brand)

little led inducators

Welcome bud! Looking forward to some pictures of your RS50. Get some close up shots of the front end for us all to perv over! ;)
Btw, if you have the money i would get rid of the TNT carb and buy a dellorto 21mm as TNT products are poor quality. What thickness are your reed valves? They need to be .30 with stock 50 barrel and after market pipe. For a bbk kit, they need to be .35-0.40 thickness.

Daniel :)

Try and find a little more about the pipe, The SP kit is 100% race orientated with very short life expectancy too! So you'll need a race orientated exhaust rather than a street pipe.
At the end of the day Dan quality might not be as good but what can the real dellorto do better? If you're going to buy a new carb get something around the 28mm mark to suit the SP kit.

And yes i'd love to hear how you fitted the Rs front end, sounds great!

TNT are bad quality in every way, can be OK for a stock replacment but they fall to bits if your not carful. i see them as a strictly budget replacement and not a long term one

Thanks for the back up Chris! lol
Quality is everything when i comes down to tuning a high reving, highly strained 2 stroker! However, short term there probably wouldn't be much of a performance different Nathan.

Performance would be EXACTLY the same with the two IMHO, They are exact copies. Probably won't last two seconds though yes.

thanks for the imput guys and i found the tnt on my old rx to be ok having said that it died pretty quick so cant judge on long term the big bore kit im thinking of getting the sp70cc on pedstop the double ring piston is said to be long lasting so i thought i go for it as i do a fair bit of distance

and the forks funny enough where a straight fit however the lower tapered bearing had to be changed as it was like 0.4mm or something stupid too small internal on the standard rs50 bearing haha and tbh im not sure about the reeds i know there hebo but they came with the bike when i got it along with the exhaust however ive been looking at getting a new exhaust the ones with the can right next to the expansion chamber as show off the single sided wheel abit more

photos however im not sure on how to upload can i use the url of my facebook to upload the photos ?

when you are doing a reply, or a thread.. do your writing and go down and click "manage attachments"

then a extra box will open and in the top right corner click "browse" or "add files". then click "use basic uploader" and pic the pics you want

with my hebo reeds and 21mm carb ? sound ok or would you change it and should i get an intalkit 74cc instead of mk sp70???

chrism15
12-12-2012, 12:37 PM
i dont see any reason why that set up wouldnt be a good allrounder

Polini clutch kit, top notch

with one of the ital 74cc kits you need a different crank, adrenalin pedstop have this crank available but you need to ask them for the correct part number (very important you get the crank intended for this kit). but there is another ital 70cc kit which can be used with normal stroke cranks

Depending on the budget an extra 20 on a crank could be useful, they are sure to mention it's for 50cc engines which makes me suspicious. I do however have first hand experience on that cylinder kit:
1)It pulls like a train in and out the powerband
2)Get a 19-21mm+ carb and exploit the full potential.
VERY hard wearing kit and if jetted right will last a long time, power down low is underestimated. I do miss it :(

EDIT: Just realized I've basically said the same as adrenalin, well there you go, they're not lying ;)

glad you like it, an nathan i saw that and it did get me woundering why they put that so i may invest in the polini crank and yeah i though that when you said about the barrel haha but at least i got someone to go from now not just site talk :) i will be doing upbates after january when i get my parts

Try reading back what you posted before actualy hitting post...

You want o use the Stock Airbox, or if you do not have a Stock Airbox anymore get a Go-Kart style airbox like these:
http://www.easyparts.nl/showarticles/0-4019-968-1682-2013-2016/0/199/Luchtfilter-huizen-Universeel.html

Anyway a 82 mainjet is way to small, with the stock airbox you would need a 86 to 90 mainjet, with the Foamfilter you got on there now you probably need a 110 mainjet, maybe even bigger depending on the rest of the parts you got on there.
Do not ride it untill you are sure you got the mixture right or the engine might seize up, you probably already done damadge by riding it with the 82 mainjet...

And put Technical questions in the RS50 Tech section here if you want a quick awnser.

If you been running it on a 82 mainjet with that filter for a while i would pull the barrel off and check that for damadge, if theres scrapes in the barrel and piston its never gonna run good anymore, worst case is that it also burned the big end bearing of the crank than.

i had like a 90 main jet with that box and it still didnt go properly and i only run the bike up a little lane by my house
i am going to try a 2002 airbox i made to fit my rs with a 90 main jet and see what happens

I would love this bike, unfortuantly no room! Your best bet is to sell it via Ebay or Gumtree. However, don't expect it to go for alot. I would expect it to go for 800 or around that.

You're doing the right thing to sell it though, there is nothing worse then having out standing debts hanging over you.

I wish you the best of luck.

Dan.
