Well I compared it to the kits on the malossi site and it doesn't look anything like it...it doesn't have malossi on it (I think all of them have malossi on them)..

most of them have heads that look like this:

how sure are you?

dood its not a malossi. drain the coolant (takes like 5 min max) and unbolt the 4 head nuts and measure the diameter of the bore. Then you'll know what displacement you have

well is it a big bore kit?

Looks to me like a cheap thai kit, i.e 50cc. But as RSR has said many times, drain the coolant and measure the bore.

As said before its NOT a malossi, all malossi have it cast into them, and if it had being grinded away you would know. It does indeed look like a 50cc kit, but no one can tell because both 50 and 70 use the same size barrell jst different bore.

Theres only one way to tell if its a big bore or not and thats by measurement,

Also your running the wrong plug, your running a hotter plug, which if it was a big bore would have burned a hole in the piston, the heat rating you want it 9 or 10, big bore kits sometimes require a 10 like the Doppler.

Which brings me onto the next point, theres a slim chance it could be a doppler 50cc kit, but again usually ts marked up.

does this mean it proably a big bore kit, sorry to be blunt, but i didnt quite understand wether you ment its a high chance of being a standard kit or a bored out one

Thanks alot carl.

... but I think that's stock!

I hope the seller didn't tell you that it had a Malossi 68 kit on it. I could be wrong but I think that's a stock kit. The head looks stock (see pic showing the side view with the carb & look at the head), it's obviously steel (malossi, doppler, etc are aluminum), and as far as I know the stock head won't bolt up the any other kits. If it is stock, the cylinder could've been bored up to use the Malossi 68cc piston. I have a cylinder that was siezed then I had it bored up to 68cc, but the boost port needed to be raised/modified so I never used it... maybe that's what was done to this set?

Drain the coolant, and measure the bore and you'll know. If it's 43.5mm then it's stock... if it's 47mm then it's a 68cc big-bore.

well for me its either stock or a DR Cast-Iron Big Bore 49mm Cylinder Kit theese where avadible through taffspeed for a while looked pretty much like stock. but since no markings you will never know unless you take of the head off.

its 100% not a malossi kit. all maossi kits where a 50pence shape when veiwed from above like the picture someone posted from the malossi site

hope this helps
