Welcome to the forum! I get about 90miles/144k when light comes on. That's mostly back roads and sport mode.

My fuel light comes on when I am down about 10 liters. It is anywhere from 100 to 140 km mark depending on how I was driving. Which means I should have 5 liters left in the tank. So if I was too drive really careful, I should be able to go another 70 km. I did go to 210 km once in an area with no gas stations. I was really nervous but I ended up with 1 1/2 liters left in the tank at the 210 km mark.

Light comes on way too early in my opinion.

I agree that the light comes on way too early. Wonder if you can reset it?

While they were replacing the faulty fuel command sensor, we had a look at the reserve light sensor. It is on a long metal bar which in my opinion is way too long. Mine was coming on with over 5 liters in the tank. We put two bends in the bar making it about one inch shorter. This will give me less fuel on reserve but I just got tires of the light coming on at 100 km.

Have /did you get photos of the bend?

Didn't take any photos. Nothing complicated. The bar is about 6 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. We simply bent it down and then an inch down bent it back up. Made an "S" shape. This made the back at least an inch shorter.

If you are going to do this mod, make the rod as short as possible. I only put two bends in it shortening the rod by about one inch. Go for at least two or more inches. I now have 4 1/2 liters left compared to 5 1/4 left before I put the bend in when the light comes on. Not as good as I was hoping for but a lot better than stock.

Will look at the mod when I get back to civilisation, but cheers for the heads up Ygrow.
