Anyone ever heard of scooter nerds? They are located in Greensboro, NC and claim to be an Aprilia Dealer and service center.

I am looking to slap the Top Performance Black 70 or 73cc kit on my bike since it is said to be stock exhaust friendly. I have decided to keep a stealthy look and slap basic performance mods on, nothing too elaborate. Plan to change the air filter and maybe the reeds (any word on the V-Force Delta III RS50 Reed Cage? If its too elaborate, who has pre cut ready to install reeds as I"m NOT precise enough to cut my own!).

Let me know what you all think as I only want a little performance as it IS just a 50cc bike and want to do little things to it an nothing too serious. I feel if I want major power, I should up to a 250 or something. I just want to be able to horse around, cruise comfortably when I want and be able to get on the hwy at 65 - 70 mph etc without having to worry about not going fast enough with traffic. Thanks in advance!

At the moment I have the following setup:

TP75 Cylinder (Pink Top)
Dellorto 24mm
Hebo Titan Exhaust (With stock silencer to draw less attention..)
Stock reeds (or unknown aftermarket, soon Malossi reeds).
Stock Airbox

Runs quite well, top speed between 120 and 130. ;)

120 - 130 what?

with the old type (99 - 05) Rs50 there is unlimited mods

top performance cdi"s

exhaust make a big difference

sprockets

fast 50cc kits, 70cc - 80cc even a 110cc parma kit for big bore guys

race spec cranks, doppler ER1 very reccomendable

bigger or just better carbs make a big difference also, polini 19mm flastide carb ect

reeds

close ratio gearbox

the list goes on and on as far as tuning the Rs50 goes

also this should be in tech section :p:

Think he means kmh. If your getting 70cc youll need 21mm really to get the most power

fast 50cc kits

Could you elaborate on this kit? Whats the difference between standard 50 and this one? Do I need any extras with it or can I run it as is?

think the porting is slightly different, some kits are also aliuminum instead of cast

there will be a increase of performance you will feel espically throttle response

a performance 50cc cylinder kit should be ok for the stock crankshaft but to get the best out of it then a bigger carb would be benefical along with a decent exhaust and stiffer reeds

polini evo 50 kit is used by a forum member here and he rates it for performance ;)

Then thats probably what I will go with then and just get bolt ons around that set up. I will search the member with the polini evo 50 kit. Thanks!

I'll do that thanks. In the US we use mph, the kn always confuses me lol.

Do your self a favor and buy the Malossi reeds... or a Malossi VL6 reedcage (the reeds for that are really cheap) there the best option unless your into racing in wich case the Conti CRX reedcage or Hebo Frog reedcage (i hear it cracks fast though just like the old Conti big valve reedcage as its basicly just 1 big hole with a reed over it on each side, but they deliver great performance, but because of them cracking only good for racing where you regulary inspect those parts anyway)
and this is the project section of the forum, you should have asked in the Tech section, it could easly have been asked inside your other thread mate.

its me mate! i love it ;) will do 70mph EASY and over rev in 6th with 13/47 gearing....
if i put on 14/47 i can get her off the clocks (75mph+) with a nice road and can cruise at 65-70 relatively easy :)
