Does anyone have the dimensions for the factory 1000 R bars ?

Total Width ?
Width of the Fat section ?
Bar angle Horizontal ?
Bar angle Rearward ? (Sweep)
Rise ?
Fat bar Diameter ?
Control end Diameter ?

I want to go lower, but not a ton.

THANKS

Total Width ?
~31" including bar ends

Fat bar Diameter ?
28mm (1 1/8")

Control end Diameter ?
22mm (7/8")

I can't remember the other measurements (and am not near the bike ATM) but am pretty sure they're stashed in other threads. If you run a search for 'rizoma conical' I think it'll turn up the thread I'm thinking of.

Hello,

Did the search, got the specs on the replacement bars , but no data on factory bars.
Trying to figure out how much I want to drop, so I need to know the starting point.
Bike still in Warranty hell, otherwise I would measure myself.

Thanks

I'm running aftermarket bars as well & will grab some more #s for you this evening when I'm home ... probably everything except the angles (I'm protractor-challenged :D).

EDIT - Maybe these will be helpful - pics of the stock bars compared to Renthal 672's (which have the following measurements: 796 (width), 80 (height), 55 (rise), 210 (clamping area), 57 (sweep) - all in mm)

Thanks
That is helpful.
Looks like the Renthals are a little lower ~ 1/2" and less swept back.
And a little wider in the middle.
Any issues with fitting ?

Yeah, the Renthals are not much lower but have a lot less sweep/pullback. They bolt right on with no issues ... although they feel (and are) wider than OEM bars. I ultimately swapped them for the ones below (I was after much more of a "clipon feel"). They're Tioga (bicycle) bars and are a lot straighter, shorter & narrower than either OEM or the Renthals (35mm rise, 680mm width). They fit me great - right about middle of clip-ons and OEM bars - but do cause a bit of throttle binding at full left lock ... I have a set of RSVR throttle cables to try, eventually.

Just bought a black 672 Renthal, used on ebay.
20 Bucks.
Worth it for the experiment.
What bar end work with the Renthals ?

Nice. That was my method too ... see what's cheap & experiment. :)

Universal style, 7/8 barends work. You could possibly try tapping the renthal to allow for screwing in the stock pieces, as I seem to remember it's pretty thick-walled.

Probably going to get rid of the antennae.
Go with some CRG bar ends.

Thanks
