just wondering if anybody ever tried a 180/55 for the rear, the reason i am asking is i have a lot of 180/55 in the garage that i use for the track bike. i could save some money using them after a couple track days and put them on the tuono there is still lot of rubber left in the middle. i could probably get an other 2000 miles in the street.
if anybody ever tried 180/55 let me know

yup, loads have done it with no major reported issues, you are likely to get quicker turn in thats all.
oh yeah...you're also giving up a bit of your contact patch, but it's marginal.

That's what I have on mine right now. Honestly, I'm not the fastest rider in the world but, I couldn't tell any difference.

i guess i would be giving up the center part of the tire contact patch, for the edges it would be the same, i may just try i have loads of really good track tires left over

for me, its the preferred size......quicker turn in, lighter weight, a little cheaper......
