Alright - So I have been deadset on getting some Akrapovic EVO slip ons...but after poking around some people seems to like the Mivv pipes better. I also know Leo Vince makes a great kit as well.

What would you recommend in terms of a slip on replacement for my 2010 T?

:rambo: Make it happen.

You pays yer money, you takes yer choice.

They all have their pro's and cons, performance wise, there's sod all in it.

Just get the ones that float your boat :)

I have the basic Aluminum Leo Vince slip-ons and love them. They are well made, easy to mount, lighter than stock, look clean on the bike, sound awesome (optional inserts removed), and with the bike on Map 2 the snatchy throttle response is gone. There are other slip-ons that look cooler to some folks (I prefer the traditional ovals myself), but I can't imagine there being any performance difference between any of the "race-developed" brands to speak of and the Leo's only cost about $500 for the pair (less than 1/2 of the Akros).

That's almost like asking what your favorite beer is? Mostly based on personal preference.
I'm very happy with my Leo high mounts, but i don't see them on their website anymore. They're throaty, but don't leave your ears bleeding. The left and right don't sit exactly even, but neither did the stockers. Other than that, the welds are clean and they polished up nice even after a couple of years of wear.

I know, I know...I guess my post was leading...shoot me. I have heard the Akros, Leo's, Mivv and Arrow. IMHO, they are about even in terms of "pleasing" sound to me. I like the look of the hexagonal cans on the Akro Evo line...but they are pricey. I guess in terms of quality...has anyone had experience that they can share?

They are all top shelf stuff. Some guys have the Delkevics, BulletBob had them on his RSVR and they sounded good too for a lot less than half of what my Akra Hexs cost

Well, the porn comment was admittedly funny....you guys crack me up on here. Well, I just don't know what direction I will go...have to get the T past break in and this cold weather is making it difficult here. Thanks for all the advice and humor.

Ti Remus Revolution slip ons here. Great sound, fairly loud with the DB killers removed but not too bad, MUCH lighter than stock, and for the quality not horribly expensive. Works for me.

I've never loaded a picture, and will need to shrink the ones I have. Short answer is yes, but I'm going to have to play around a bit. I'll try to get on it reasonably quickly.

The MiVV Carbon GPs were my choice. The folks at PJsPARTS were great to work with and are truly passionate about bikes and working with folks like us.

When I was looking at pipes and saw high mounts, that pretty much instantly made my decision. Leo vince was the only high mount I could find available in Canada so that was it, pricey but worth it. Oh ya, they made the bike run better too ;p

i'm asking becuase all i've ever seen for the T is the hexcans vs 'revolution' cans you have.

Ok, just a few Photo's of some exhaust I've had fitted.182973182974182975182976182977 Hope
these help Mivv Suono, Mivv Titanium GP and some cut down Akro's, (normal size are just to long. in my opinion).

Personally I'm really feeling the Danmoto "Jisu"s :

Pics posted here as I can't seem to upload to the forum ?

https://picasaweb.google.com/Robert.S.Healey/TuonoHK?authuser=0&feat=directlink

The bike now has a deep throaty sound, it's not overly loud, but the rear end now looks excellent and it's lost a lot of weight. I like the colour and shape of the new pipes - the shorter cans and angular design match the rest of the Tuono much better than the huge oval stock rubbish, which sounded like an asthmatic wheeze.

Really can't complain for $250 USD shipped direct to me. Not a typo. Go China.

The short MIVV's look the best, do you find them too loud for touring?

The short MIvv are loud, I always use ear plugs, I've covered 350 miles in a day with them on, Just get some you will not be disappointed.:) The Mivv Suono are a deeper growl.

Does anyone have experience with the GP style slipons from Danmoto? I like the look of them and the price is right. Are they pretty good and deep without being obnoxiously loud?

robby-hk

If they're anything like the "Jisu" then I say go for it.

The Jisus - despite being shortish pipes with a big straight-through design, are surprisingly good and deep without being obnoxiously loud, even at 100+ kph.

I've got some Delkevic carbon shorties if your interested. They are to loud and throaty for me. I'd rather be a little more stealth while riding around my area. Lots of attention from local law enforcement.

I just put on a set of Ti Quills. 16" cans are not as big as the 18"ers. Sound is wonderful! Will try to get pics up this weekend. Am planning a dyno day with a PCIII.
Oh - the stock pipes weigh 10+lbs each. The Quills weigh 5 lbs.

I had Akro 2-2's on my first gen... they look a heck of a lot nicer than stock but still looked just a bit long for my tastes (I think the arrow's and leo's suffer from that just a bit imo). The Mivv GP's in CF just look perfect on my first gen and with db killers out they sound amazing (but very loud). With baffles in the sound is still loud but not obnoxiously so and similar in volume to the Akra's. The growl is a little deeper and crisper (hard to explain) than the Akra's. Just my 2 cents...
With Akros:
