Put a deposit on a new black 1200 Dorso on the weekend.. hooolllyy I cannot wait!

I test rode the 750 last week and it was seriously the most fun I can remember having on a bike in a LONG time. Talk about feeling as one with a motorcycle. Wow. I got home and thought I will definitely go the 750, but did some more reading (a lot on here) and everyone says the 1200 is everything the 750 is plus more. Got a free set of Arrows with the purchase too.. I am addicted to the youtube vids showcasing that demonic rumble!

When it arrives later in the week I will post some pics. Anyone got any tips for breaking her in? Anything else I should be aware of besides hanging on?!

Found this little ripping clip on youtube - keeps me mildly entertained til I can rip my own. I'm in Melbourne, Australia, reckon I will pop down to the Great Ocean Rd for some photo goodness.

Congrats! I had the 750 DD for 2 years and loved it, but once I test rode the 1200 there was no looking back. And black is the fastest color too! :gunner:

Yes good choice, dont think you will have any regrets choosing the 1200 over the 750.
Enjoy

Supposedly the 1200 has a rev-limiter from the factory set at 6000, for the first 650 miles. The computer then resets itself after the initial breakin of 650 miles. I rode mine fairly hard while trying to stay below 6000 and tied to vary my speeds. I also stayed off the freeway and rode the back roads utilizing engine breaking, Some say just ride it like you stole it, ;) but I tried to follow aprilia's recommendations.
