Got out with a few friends in Portland today, It was very cold and foggy but finally broke out into the sun up on bald peak mountain and got a few nice shots looking down on the cloud bank in the Valley.179315179316179317

Nothing like a nice chilly ride.

Yea it was nice to get out, most of the ride was in foggy conditions with damp roads, gravel etc. but it was great to get the bike out of the garage. Did about 75 miles before we were frozen. Starting temp was 36 and about 42 at the conclusion. The guy on the Z1000 had a heated vest and gloves so he was not feeling it like the rest of us. It's been a fairly dry fall and winter this year.

Amazing that we are still riding at this time of year. Excellent pictures.

Very nice photos! Love the ones where you are above cloud cover.

The heated stuff is fabulous.

I have Gerbing heated liner jacket and gloves. They make cold weather riding much more enjoyable and greatly extend your comfortable riding season.

what gloves are you using? i've got a pair of winter gloves (with additional liners) that keep me warm for about 10 minutes and then my fingertips go numb.

I managed about 240 km in the past 2 days. All on my R1100S though, the Tuono is awaiting some items and still locked up in the garage.

Temps here in Vancouver have been -2 C at night but get up to +5-7 during the day. Low humidity and cold, dry roads. Regardless, it's been fantastic to go riding.

great pics!, i rode this morn (32deg F), but it's only commuting.

www.warmnsafe.com heated gloves and liner FTW!

RacerX, you are braver than I. Nobody rode into work here. I probably would've been fine with my non-heated gear, but I'm not that dedicated.

voxron, for a minute there, I though the middle orange one was a Tuono, too. That would've given new meaning to "thunder in the clouds", huh?

I have a Gerbing heated liner, Gerbing T5 heated gloves and heated insoles. I run them at about 1/3 setting on the dial and that cooks me. The stuff is wonderful.
