View Full Version : Electronic Speed Limiter

I was reading this article, http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aprilia_Tuono#2006_-_2011_Tuono_1000_R
and they mention the Tuono having an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. I've had mine above that indicated speed many times on the Interstate. What gives? Anyone ever had the limiter intervene during a speed check?

DISCLAIMER: I do not condone riding your motorcycle at the speeds stated above, if you do, you do so at your own peril, as well as the peril of others. :p:

Man, I need to go to Indiana. The cops must be asleep up there, every time I ride through my little town in S.C. I get dirty looks from all the fuzz!

They've got me a couple times, but never more than 10 over. Thank God.

A Tuono should never be on an interstate :p:

Occasionally, I do get on the superslab to get to an area where there is good riding, but I that is more the exception than the rule.

yeah that is classic wikipedia. since it can be edited by anyone, inevitably some bad information makes it in there. Def no speed governor on that thing
