OK, so call me crazy! :D

I finally got 600 miles on my '04 R and am going to take it back to the dealer for the first service... only because I want them to check the valve clearences and so I keep all the warranty paperwork looking good.

Once it comes back it will be time for a new set of cans. Thinking about a full "Leo Vince" high mount. Yeah, Tigs look good but I think I'll get more shiet from "The Man" here in Calif and my nosy neighbors about the noise.

And now for something completely different! My poor '02 Mille with only a Aprilia Ti slip on, chip, and de-restricted is getting jealous!

Would I be crazy to try and fit the stock exhaust from the '04 to the '02? (I am thinking about de-cat-ing the cans) Would they fit or has no one even had such a evil thought let alone tried it?

Thanx for your 2cents worth... (Putting on frame suit now.)

Bear in mid the Sport version of the Tigs comes standard with a removqable baffle which brings noise levels down to 97db from 103db.

Not that I have a favourite or anything:D

Thanx Thunder! Maybe I'm just missing something but the Tigs don't seem to be easy to get here in the states.

You are not missing anything at all, the Tigs are only available directly from Japan, they are a specialist company who apparently had a bad experience when thye tried marketing through a distributor.

When I first joined this forum Tigs were starting to get mentions from people who had discovered them, both for their quality and performance, but the only way to get them was to deal directly with the company themselves.

To promote them and help out other owners a guy in Scotland called Dek Sawyer set up and English website for Tigcraft and is now the co-ordinator for most of the sales in Europa and the US.

Dek is the go between who makes things happen. With Tigs you can't go into a dealers and pick a set up from the shelf they are nearly made to order they are so popular.

When I ordered mine last year for the bike it was having only seen pictures and heard the odd sound clip, but I can honestly say I was blown away when they arrived, they fitted like they came as standard, they are tfeather light, the tig welding is just a wokrk of art, and when I got the bike on a dyno they out performaed the run Akra show for their full system all the way through the rev range, and equalled them in top power. While I know all dynos are different I still believe this is something special from a set of slip ons which will have a full header set available shortly if u feel you need more.

Finally while it's fresh in my mind, I'sm just back from a short run round the country roads nearby and the sound of the cans is totally awesome, deep seriously not offensive and mine are the full race versions which are lited at 105db but hit 117db on a dyno shoot out at a rally last month. :D

Do a search on tigcraft on the site, you'll see I'm not the only one who thinks this way!

Hope this helps.

Yes, believe this is the site and person you are talking about:

I was looking for them just after my post this morning. The work on the pipes is something you'd expect to see on a F1 car! Looks like there is no bends, just that new still of welding pieces together to make the bends. And the welds look like they were finished off in a mill or something as smooth as they are there.

I'll have to look into this some more... makes the head spin! :D

This is the Tigcraft full system and 80mm race can for the old Mille, the link pipe is just amazing in my opinion:

The link pipes for 04 are made the same way just not as complicated:D
