Here is a pic of my bike before the Alitalia graphics, before the Ferrari F430GT Lemans Racecar projector beam headlights (see other thread), before the Ceramic Matrix Composite Rotors, special brake pads for the CMC rotors, Ram air ducts for the brakes, remote adjuster wand, a ton of goofy ti bolts and Vespa GTS Bar end weights.

I think it's reasonably pornographic. :-) Especially when you look at the little details.

It will be at NH Powersports till the graphics and paint are done if anybody's curious about wanting a better look. She started as a white R model, we added TTX, FG-616, Factory carbon, Factory nose/tail/lowers, screws, variable velocity stacks, evo2 pipe, Aprilia Accessory Levers, Aprilia Accessory rearsets, Aprilia Accessory Bars, gold forged OZ wheels... Probably more that I can't think of..

Update.

The guys at New Haven have the mechanical parts of my bike done. They took some pics, I'm sure psolk will take some of his bikeporn type pics of the bike before Altialia decals and pics after. Hope you guys enjoy.

I want to know more about the brake disc, are those what they basically use on motogp bikes?

i like the rotors!

They are the CMC ceramic rotors, very similar material to the optional rotors on the MP4-12C, 458, 430, 911GT2, etc.

They weigh less than half what a stock rotor weighs. They also are expected to have heat issues (cooking pads, heating up brake fluid in unnatural ways) but that is why there are other interesting bits being made for the bike. ;-)

MotoGP and F1 cars use carbon-carbon made by companies like Hitco Carbon Composites, Brembo, etc. They are very different beasts to ceramic. They don't work well cold, stop amazingly well when hot, burn up in use and get replaced on a very regular basis. An F1 car for example has different pads and rotors every race.... Out of my budget for now... :-\

Somebody should really do something about that!

Sorry, can't go with the multi-color scheme. Just doesn't work for me, but I'm glad that you like it and that's all that matters.

Dan, let me know when the feild trip comes up to see your bike in progress. Paul, Brent and I are taking a field trip to New Haven this weekend to work on the graphics (you're welcome to tag along).

Fastmike, at this time, I agree the multicolor looks wrong and I would have gone with Factory SE lowers with white everything else if I weren't going alitalia replica. I'm sure once the OEM aprilia carbon pieces are released that I'll have to buy a set and have a straight satin finish carbon set but that's something that I'm still squirreling money away to buy.
