Just bought a fantastic '07. Can't wait to get it out for a real ride!
Amazing bike. Why did I wait so long?

Welcome aboard, good to have a new owner/member.
A 15T sprocket is a must and the best upgrade for the buck.
Nice all original bike, congratulations

Thanks amauri,
It's at the top of my list. I can't believe how high these things are geared. It feels like I'm taking off in second...
It's a lot to get used to coming from an SV650S:)

Welcome to the forum! And you arrive with such style! I'm jealous, that is pretty much my dream paint scheme... if I ever find a good deal on that model I'm going to scoop it up ASAP.

Its true these things feel like they are geared so high! a 15T is a must, it will feel way better.

Very nice. I like it. I believe this is an 2007.5, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually you have an updated 07.5 it looks like.
I love the paint scheme, even though my black and gold is faster.
Upgrade it with a steering damper or stabilizer and it will handle like a dream.
Also I can core out your pipes for a much louder and better sounding exhaust
for 1/2 the price of new slip-ons.

Thanks guys,
Took the fairings off today and got to know her.
The more I look, the more impressed I am. Bodywork is beautifully made and so sturdy/thick.
Thanks for the offer MR69. I'm going to spend some time with her before I start modding too much. Power is already crazy after coming from an SV650. Sounds pretty good factory too. Not carbon Termi good but pretty damn good.
How would you tell if it's an 2007.5 and what does it mean?

Hey I looked for the infamous brown connector behind the coolant reservor/between the cylinders but couldn't find it...
Brown connector and yellow wires at the RR look like new thankfully

If you dont see a brown connector with 3 yellow wires going in and out right in front of you
on the right side of the bike (non-kickstand side)
by the immobilizer and radiator, then it has been removed.
It is not hard to see.

easiest way to tell the 07 and 07.5 is the lion head on the side.

Hello, welcome! Good taste in bikes, I must say!

Yes the 15T is good, the brown connector under the right side upper fairing AND the white connector in the tail fairing are good to examine and ensure good contact, (by disassembly and crimping the female terminal to the desired "mechanical drag" on the male end), and when leaving for more than a week, plug the battery into a Battery Tender or Yuasa SmartShot. Careful with the plastics, tiny tabs break.

Enjoy the ride!!

'06 and up there's only 1 brown connector (under the rectifier) none in between the "V" anymore. Start her up and rev to about 4,000 RPM for about a minute. Feel the brown connector, if it's warm, then better start thinking about doing the brown connector mod.

BTW Nice Bike!
