hello guys!

last friday i went to my dealer with my tuono, but i went home on a brand new :worship: 1200er Dorsoduro! :)
and today i was on my first real ride on it! now it has a bit more than 600km on the clock. it is a hell of a machine! damn! even with the rev-limiter @ 6500rpm its such a fun bike! but even more after those ~450km..
to me, everything is just perfect! well exept the fuel range, after 125km the fuel-light turns on :( but hey its just pure porn riding that bike so thats not a big issue.
even the original exhaust sounds really nice!
now i gotta find a way to mount my contourHD on it to film the thrill.

to me, its hard to find words to describe the feeling that the bike gives me, the switch with the touno was definately worth it! for those guys who ordered one --> good job! to all others, unlucky.. :)

Guess i need to change my nickname?! :)

greetings from switzerland :plus:

Please stop posting saying how good this bike is!

I need you all to say it's rubbish, and no one should buy one, that way Aprilia won't sell many and drop the price.

Then I can afford to buy one this winter :-)

How are the taller riders getting on with it?
Tuono.ch, you look prety tall (how tall are you), how do you find it??

@rob..

ok just for you, the bike is ABSOLUTE terrible to ride and its completly rubbish.. is that what you wanted? :)
im about 192cm tall --> ~ 6.3 feet. i aint got problems with the DD. a real big diff to the gen.2 T i had before. in positive way offcourse..

@centerline

i see you got the dunlop qualifier on it, do you like them? i rubbed the first pair down, spent her a nice set of pirelli angels - way better i think..

Yes we like! What a fabulously beautiful country you have to ride around and probably some of the best motorcycling in the world. So keep those pictures coming. And BTW Tuono, yes I am impressed with the Dunlop Qualifiers. Looks like the rear tire will serve for around 4,000 miles. Very sticky in turns, tho I have not blasted out of any turns yet when fully leaned over.

4000 miles?! not even the pirelli angel last that long.. :(
it is sticky yes! but i feel better with the pirelli on the egde of the tyre, scratched the footrest more with the pirelli than with the dunlop :)
i like the pirelli much more while braking in turns, you know it wont put you up that hard like the dunlop did.

I'm short, about 5'8", can just get my toes onto the ground on both sides, sux man, absolutely bloody awfull cr@p bike :lol:

Seriously tho, for me it's pretty comfortable to ride, but maybe the rear brake pedal is a tiny bit too low, would be better for a taller rider / longer legs, toes would point down more, less chance of your foot accidentally moving onto the pedal & touching the back brake off, maybe removing the rubber foot peg covers . . .

I should also point out this is my first bike where I could sit as opposed to hovering / crouching over it in a push-up position, ready to race. Everything up until now has been GP & SBK, I'm enjoying the holiday, despite it being made for taller people.

@ Tuono.ch :

awesome part of the world bro, I'm already trying to come up with a plan to bring my dorso over when I go skiing in the Tirol again :)

I am sure the DD1200 is a fantastic bike in that environment! Looks like some great riding there.
