Right before I post these pics I know some of you may find them upsetting, but as somone who uses the bke as a means of covering large distances as much as possible on holiday (vacation to the US guys) Iv'e been using the Bagster system for a few years and when I change the bike I just get a new tank cover and use the same tank bag.

I don't personally subscibe to the theory of leaving the cover on full time, but when needed they provide a secure means of fitting a tank bag and makes refuelling stops simple as you just unclip the rear of the bag and pivot it forward.

So for those who may be interested heres what it looks like:

They make 3 versions to tone in with the bikes colour options.

Guy in the Uk (also a Mille owner) is into engineering so makes a few bits for the Aprilia. I sent him my footrests over last year and he made up those hangers which use the original rubber and spacer from the old hangers.

Have them on still as I have not had a chance to pick up my carbon hangers from the paint guy who is lacquering them for me.

He has a website with some details of the stuff he produces here (http://pub99.ezboard.com/fperkysfrm16.showMessage?topicID=1.topic)

If you own a black Factory I think one of these is a must buy.

Already the paint on the tank looks like crap, so I will give the bike a good thorough polish and then put this on and leave it.

Couldn't care what it looks like, I just want to know my paint is safe.

Oh, on another note, the bike is now looking as good as new from my little off, so we are once again happy.

Looks nice! I am no fan of bags on the tank but it looks OK.
But the best part is I finally know what you look like ;)

Request: Can you post a pic with the bag on top of it?

Thunder - That cover looks fantastic!!

I have the same system on the Falco: Works GREAT!!!

Their bags can be pretty big though, and the best one I've found for general usage is what they call the "City" bag. It's about 5 1/2" tall, around 9" wide, and slanted at the seat end so it's a foot at the top and around 14" at it's base. It's semi-hard, with good weather resistance (VERY good once soaked down with Scotch-Guard waterproofing). You can't tuck in, but the size/shape allow you good movement around the bike while still having usable space for storage.

Speak to Sian at Busters when you order the PC3 from her, they supplied mine and can get all the versions.

This is an "Alpha" bag, is about 6 years old, expandable with soft sides and as I said I've used it on different bikes.

I'm considering getting a new bag, just have not decided which one as yet as there are a lot to choose from.

Thunder,
How did you route the strap underneath the tank without fouling the throttle linkage ? I fitted mine a couple of weeks ago and found it wouldn't reach far enough to route differently. Also , I refitted my side panels outside the rear straps - I assume you're going to do the same ?

I found the flat strp could be routed between the throttle bodies and bear against a flat area without any conflicts, just took a moment and left enough room for tightening but not too tight.

I'll be feeding the rear straps behind the panels when it comes to usinu it for real yes especially with the lacquerd carbon.

Found the buckle for the yolk stap was impeding full lock not seriously bu t enough to wrrant a mail to Bagalux suggesting a solution.

Thunder: didn't you have problems with dirt getting between the tank and the tankcover causing paint damage ?
