Way way cool. AND, they got rid of the ridiculous spoon exhaust buried under the butt and went with 2 separate exhaust cans.!!

At 10K OTR I reckon it'll be at least 7K and my bike on trade in. At that price I'll wait for the new Shiver or Tuono.

Nice bike, but is it worth the extra cash on otp of the 750 and wil owners gain any real advantage between the two bike aaprt form range?
Realistically I dont think I would gain enought to make me pay the extra cash.

Went for a gud ride yesterday with 3 m8s on 2 Yam R6s & a Benelli triple thingy,One of the r6 lads used to race aswell so hes not bad.I had them everywhere going into the corners and out but on speeds past 90 and the straights they kept getting past.I luv the riding position of my Dorsoduro and am thinking now that all my future bikes will cum with the sit up style "im 48next & getting stiffer" the thing is would the bigger 1200 engine fill the engine performance gap im lacking or at least make it nearer and not let them pass at all.
Suppose ill just av to take 1 owt on test and see.So regarding worth the money over the 750 i will av 2 wait & see.

Hey Dug49y thanks for that further info. I presumed they must be some of the first ones in the UK. I am going to the Milan bike show this Friday so that will be my first look at them. My plan was to go to Milan this year to get a look before they hit the UK dealers, can't believe they will be in UK dealers so quick.
Question is will they be doing a 0% finance offer on them? Going to wait to see if i can test ride one and even then I would probably wait until March.

Thats what I thought, they didn't hang about releasing this bike.

I love the DD and being a 1200 does make it more appealing but I don't
think I could ever part with the Shiver.

I do fancy another project bike but i reckon i will buy and old RS250 or a
Honda VFR 400 NC30. there are loads of cheap Honda's but RS250's are few and far between.

Called in at Dave Milling Motorcycles on the way home from work today and had a sit on the new 1200 Dorso , you wont be disappointed fellas its mint, the tank area seems to be a fair bit wider than the 750 and it looks a bit bulky round the abs area and the exhaust cans, the exhaust cans off the 750 wont fit as the setup in that area is quite a bit different, it does not feel heavy tho when moving it about, suspension is as the factory , any other questions feel free to ask, got some pics on my mobile , sorry for the quality150249

Good to see the bloke at the factory with the yellow marker pen is still busy !

Also on your second photo of the rear wheel and brake disc, it doesn't have the ABS sensor in the hole just behind the caliper? Presume they are not fully PDI'd yet.

Oh man this 1200 is soooooo cool !! It will be sweet!!! Looks like just maybe my Mivv's from the 750 will just bolt right on. The problem will be just convincing my other half that I just changed the color of my bike from red to white. Please give us a red 1200 in the U.S. Maybe it will be so, as there was a red wave across the U.S. last night;)

Any idea when the 1200 will make it to the US?

From AF1:
The Tuono V4 will arrive 1st quarter of 2012 along with the RS4-125

The RSV4 Factory SE with APRC and Dorsoduro 1200 will arrive second quarter 2011.

Would that be a Shiver owner coming to his senses and getting the Dorso ?

There is no point keeping the shiver, it'll only end up at the back of the garage covered in dust :banana:

never, the shiver will always be at the front of the garage, but as a bike to not care about and leave round the side of the house to give the dog something to eat the DD sounds ideal :)

plus ive spent too much on the shiver to even think about changing it (but dont tell her indoors that) lol

Let us know what you think Mikeyhiya fellas , sorry its taken a while to answer , computer problems, ralphie - the tank looks much wider than the 750 and the tank covers ( coloured bits ) also look wider so i would say you would need them even if you could fit the tank so it could be well expensive , the seat does appear to be quite a bit thicker than the 750 and it felt comfortable but i was only sat on it for a few minutes as they were tryin to finish putting them together when i hijacked it , from the short while i was there it does seem to be quite a bit different to the 750, the exhaust cans off the 750 wont fit without cutting and fabricating as the lambda sensor is high on the pipe above the swingarm and there doesnt appear to be any joints up there, hope this helps with some questions :)

To bad its so butt freakin' ugly.... they took the RSV4 and raped it until the fairing fell, 30 horses left the engine, and the headlight assembly looked like an ass...
