So, does anyone know any contacts in the industry that cuold give us a 'best bet' if the 1200 tank (slightly larger) will fit on the existing 750's?

and if so, whats a 1200 tank worth? An extra 3-4 litres would be awesome i reckon....

I suspect that it might not be that easy, i had a closer look at some of the pictures and they key, keycover and the front mounting point looks different from the 750

Also having worked quite a bit on my DD, removed the tank and airfilter box to get to some cooling hoses, i have to say that the 750 tank is really a snug fit, there is no extra space under it, on the sides or in the back - so the only way i see you can get extra capacity is to make it taller... or to do some serious rearranging like moving the cooling overflow tank and some electronics on the other side

Long story short... i am pretty sure that the 1200 tank is not a direct bolt on fit on the 750, but i could be wrong, really no way to tell unless someone tries it out

Hiya fellas, i have read somewhere recently that the tank on the 1200 extends under the seat and that is how they achieve some of the extra capacity, dont know if this would work on the 750, with a bit of luck mayby when a dealer gets the 1200 in stock they will have a 750 also and be able to have a look

From those pictures you can see the tank extending quite a bit under the seat, it also does that on the 750 just not as much

Could be possible? you would be to relocate the battery and some wiring ??

My solution is to do a trade in on the 750 to a 1200 !! or well lets see how crazy the price becomes in tax-crazy denmark

If it's just the battery that gets in the way, it might be possible to make it fit if you switch to a Lithium-ion battery (you'll drop a few pounds too).

It does make you wonder guys.....a couple of litres...extend the 100mile range, against the cost lol
Its all pie in the sky until some brave (or rich lol) soul gives it a go but I for 1 could be tempted
