Sylvan Lake here! What are you riding? There are a few AB guys on the forums, maybe they will chime in.

Vancouver is home but presently out of country. Don't have my Tuono yet but will be looking to import when I'm back in the spring. Hated to let my '01 FZ! go but I wasn't going to be able to ride all this summer and have been thinking of a new bike so now will be looking for an '07 Tuono....the black and grey one. Is there any tech. reason to buy a newer one? Cheers guys,

Roger

Hey Roger, any year Tuono you will be happy with, there is very little other than color scheme changes on the 06-10 Tuono's. The Factory model offers the wonderful ohlins suspension and lighter forged aluminum rims and some asthetic changes. There are some really good deals on Aprilias in Canada (namely Alberta) currently. Obviously there are great deals on Aprilias in the states, the RIV now allows any year of Aprilia 2004 and up to be imported from the USA. Buying new it may make sense to import, but with the deals here now it may not.

Thanks for the info. I was in Calgary in June and visited Blackfoot. Pertty flash but prices were not exciting. What do you think will happen to older Tuonos if a V4 comes out soon? Also, there aren't many '05's or '06's for sale?? but a lot of '07's. I will stay tuned to this forum and keep looking for the right bike close to home.

Cheers,

Roger aka. Old Squid

Hey Guys, just bought a new RSV4 from Blackfoot. Need to put some miles on her. Lemme know if any rides are going on. Live in Edmonton.

Thanks.

The old Tuono's are going away once the remainder of the rotax v2's are used up. The Tuono will become the V4. It is hard to find a pre 07' in Canada as they were not admissable!!! You can import one now but couldn't prior to this year (2010)!!

Right On! I almost bought an RSV4 the other day but have vowed to try to wait till after the winter and import one from AF1. I would love to see and hear that bike, but I know doing so i will have one on a shipping truck in no time! I live in sylvan, and anytime let me know, I have put 20,000km on my 08' RSVR and always am looking for an excuse to ride!.

Hey, sorry guys. I've looked on this thread, and for some reason it didn't update for me. I thought there was no response so I just gave up.
I plan on heading to Calgary a few times this year, so I'll give you a heads up when I'm going through. I'llbe stopping in red Deer for gas for sure, if no before! LOL She's a thirsty unit. (Once I get it back from Echo Cycle in Edmonstone).
