Happy Easter Gents. I'm putting an rs motor in my vj22. I'm going to be running Sugaya kit pipes and 23d60 kit box. What else so I need to do to get optimal gains as far as jetting the stock carbs? What should I have for squish for running pump gas? Any other issues I should be concerned with?
Thanks for the help guys
Pete

Have a look at the "tuning sticky" at the top of the page that is full of helpful stuff o ring heads and progammable ignition would be good but you need a dyno run to see whats really going on and to optimise set up
Cant recommend anyone in CT (wherever that is?) but I am sure someone here can

Thanks, just trying to see if there is anyone on this forum who is running a set up similar to mine that can offer some good advice. Keep it coming guys

Thanks

Pete

Welcome pete! You might invest in an EGT gauge and tune it yourself on the street. worked wonders for me...

if you want a proper kit setup.. you need the follow the whole setup. Be aware that a kitted bike is peakey, high revving and not really ideal for street use.

Thanks again guys. I do have the CR dry clutch set up that I will eventually use with the kit stuff which will help keep me in the power. For now I just want to get the rs motor in my frame so I can ride while my 22sp motor gets rebuilt. Basically what I need from you guys is a safe jetting baseline for a stockish rs motor with kit pipes and kit box. This will at least enable me to get in a dyno run without grenading another perfectly good engine.

Surely one of you guys is running a set up similar to mine.

Thanks
Pete
