Nah, might look better in the flesh.

I keep thinking - it looks like a VFR.......

Don't get me wrong, a Viffer is a worthy, reliable, dependable, well built, versatile bike.

but they are fecking DULL. :tired:

Looks good. I'll take one. Nothing can be as Ugly as the new VFR 1200. Honda sure missed the boat on that one.

The latest CBR1000 is bloody bland too. You see one on the road and it looks so boring. And do the Jap bikes age quickly or what!! Honda are very consevative with design. The new Tuono will tear the Streetfighter a new one, thats for sure:gunner:

Not sold on the new look as well, but I'll reserve my judgment once I see it in person....:peace:

I saw it at the bike show. I was thinking it would come together once seen in the flesh. Not so. Way over styled IMO.

I hope the new Tuono looks better than that! What are those - wings? Looks like a partial fairing, rather than a true naked RSV4.

Ya know, I was not totally enamored of the looks of the later Tuono until I got mine. Now, I just spend some time staring at it and admiring how well the little details work on the thing and how there is damn little on the bike that doesn't have to be there. Kinda like a throwing knife. What is there is out for the world to see and that is, to me, the essence of a motorcycle. Maybe its why the traditional bobber style chopper appeals so much. The old school guys took a factory motorcycle and removed everything that didn't have a function. Primal, visceral, motorcycle. No more, no less.

Can the new fairing, too much plastic. I wanna see the bars and controls from the front, wind blast tells me how fast I'm going without having to look at instruments. Front wheel height off the ground tells me when I have enough throttle. I like using the number of bugs collected on my arms and shoulders as an odometer.

I seem to recall, when Ducati came out with the new Monster, all of the original Ducatisti came out in force against it. Now, the looks have grown on most people.

Also, perhaps it is just an "in between" model until Aprilia comes out with the Tuono version of the RSV4?

Or, it that the new Tuono version of the RSV4?

We'll see.

At first look WTF comes to mind!

Ill reserve my judgment till the new T actually comes out. I have to believe Italian design will prevail in the end. I hope...
