Looking for my shop. Looking for either a very nice condition cup bike with street gear or streetbike (17 digit VIN). Also will consider NICE condition frame/chassis that an RS250 bike can be built from. Tell me what you have.

Yup,that is the way to go. No hassles with insurance or registration and cops are clueless as to what ANY Aprilia is.

My shop will be building it and it is for them as I mentioned.

To see my shop's work on restoring an NSR250 look here. I don't think they'll have a problem on an Aprilia. They've worked on plenty of em over the years.

Have some pics with the street stuff on it? Is it the street stuff that comes with the bike when sold in Europe or is it just a headlight and taillight fashioned up? I know this was Chesire's bike so it's been maintained well.

Its just a head light and tail light that have been added later, I don't remember your email, so hit me up with it, and I will send you some pics,

My RGV has "1991 Suzuki RGV 250" on the title and registration with it's 11 digit japanese VIN, and insurance coverage with progressive with it's 11 digit vin. No rebuilt title, no vin swaps, no assembled from parts, no false dates or model, 100% correct and legal.

No big deal guys.

In Florida. Other states can be a real PITA.

Florida can't title them initially, but they can accept a transfer as 90% of the states in the USA can. I titled mine in Maine originally (one of the 2 or 3 states that can title it). $75 bucks, a notarized bill of sale and proof of insurance and that's that. To transfer it to Florida is just the same process as transferring any motor vehicle from out of state to FL.

The only problem is, I have to fly to Maine to do it. I can get rebuilt or assembled as parts titles in FL for around $1000, but for my personal bike I wanted it 100% legit for resale. It makes it worth A LOT more.

That is the way to go, but $1,000.00 is a little steep! With a little research, you could get a title service to do the work for you and it'll only cost you about $250.00. You'll get your plates and registration in the mail.

How does an RSV frame take an RS250 motor? That sounds amazing!

You simply remove the VIN plate from the Mille frame and mount it on the RS250 frame. Close enough for government work. :)

Exactly, I have even had cops behind me run my plate, and never said boo to me.

I must clarify that I would NEVER do such a thing....

50Joe, I would never do that either... 2 strokes are not allowed on any US roads... They will take your bike and crush it. Ive had 3 of them crushed.... So all of you folks running these bikes on the street, stop NOW. Sell them to me cheap and ill protect them for you in a secure location. :micah:
act fast as I only have limited room.
