Thought i would make a project seeing as iv now got a job and the goodys will be coming through when i get paid soon.

My plans are:

Lowered 60mm on Gmax springs, possibly shocks

Colour code or spray the bumpers i got now, iv been told by my tutor to just sand it down till smooth?

I would like Halos, if some come up cheap ill grab them if not ill keep the eyebrows.

Spray the eyebrows

Fiat alloys, not bothered on which ones, may grab Mags Tipos if he will sell them cheap enough ;)

Smoked rear lights

ICE - I have so far, 12" Fusion sub, Vibe 600w amp, Vibe 69.3 slick 6x9's, Planning on New headunit as my one is wankereddd!

Exhaust is a Sportex one cat back.

Ram air Induction kit, Drilled air box for now.

The car is a bit of a mess at the moment, Wiring needs sorting for the ICE as the person before couldnt wire for shit and has block connectors everywhere! The exhaust i just lined up as i cant get it fitted yet, due to me still doing lessons, baterry is fooked and has no tax! but my mate has access to a 4 poster so once i got my springs and wheels ill get everything fitted at once.

Anyway not much to look at, at the moment, but anyway heres the pictures ;)

Nice colour blue,
I've got a sportex cat back exhaust for my car (rover metro gti)
Expect it to be LOUD, well mine is and it's got 4 silencers lol due to my car not being the model with cat. What engine does it have, 1.2?

I'm yet to see a punto that has a non leaking rocker cover gasket....

Should look ok when it's done mate :D keep us updated

haha, its had a shit load of work done on it before hand, but might have to replace the rocker cover gasket when i can be arsed, i will once i get my induction kit as i will polish the rocker cover up that i started today and do it all in one ;)

yeh i like the colours, shame about the grey bumpers :\

and yeh i was expecting it to be kinda loud, my resonator box has gone anyway so its kinda loud noud, was thinking of getting de-cat but some people say they do make a difference and some say that they dont because these small engines need a bit of back pressure instead of straight through?

on a 1.2 punto i wouldn't bother de-catting it.

Just more hassle to have to get it on and off everytime MOT comes around..

They looked quite black in the pictures, anyway if they look stained and grey from polish etc then i'd use some autoglym bumper care on them. Great stuff.
Made my bumpers come up like new.

On a 1.2 i'd expect an increase of about 2-5 bhp which wouldn't be enough difference to feel really.
I know that on the rover metro gti k series spi engines, the difference between having a cat and not is 5 bhp.

But also getting a de-cat can make it a hell of a lot louder.

Get them colour coded, I have the bumper strips on mine colour coded, looks 10x better.

I wouldn't bother with a de-cat, yes they are loud but what a way to attract attention. I have a cat back system, its not very loud on tick over and that which I'm glad, its only loud when I give it some. Perfect for me

A loud exhaust is annyoing, my bike does my head in sometimes.

If you're looking to restore your bumpers use 'Back to Black'. Awesome stuff, I use it on my standard inners Billy, works a treat.

Could also maybe use a tyre shine.

For grey, polish stained bumpers use autoglym bumper care, brings them up like new and doesn't come off after a lot of washes.
