I will paint them black that should look better! But for now I didn't install them. They are sweet and the bike just runs a lot better (and that in MAP1). I'll switch the bike to MAP2 next week.

But they are loud :D I hope I won't get in trouble :(

Another 04 owner joins the Mille loud club.:D

Looks like the baffles will benefit form a coat of heat resistent paint, must get some as I am waiting for a set to arrive for those times when I wish to attract less attention.

Jan, you say you have to drill, I take it you mean into the end caps? As I will have to do the same I'd be interested in hearing how you get on.

Finally just for frefernce, can you post a sound clip with the baffles fitted?

 :plus:

You think that's bad, my letter arrived on Christmas Eve and of course I was out all day and the office had closed by the time I got home to find it.

OK I painted the baffles black (with a marker-stift) and this is the result (Left without and right with baffle). I think this looks a whol lot better. I actually looks like the stock exhaust outlet!

Diameter Original: 29 mm
Diameter Tigs with Baffle: 24 mm
Diameter Tigs without Baffle: 59 mm

PS: I am hoping someone will do a dyno with the baffles installed! Maybe I will but not for a couple of weeks.

Your wrong, I joined the VERY loud Mille club :D

Yes you need to drill a 6mm hole in the end caps (on the bottom side, just in the welt). I did it in three stages: 2mm, 4mm, 6mm. Not to difficult just messure it three times and double check before you actual drill the hole.

Mmm a sound-clip would be nice but my digi-cam can't record sound . . . . maybe I can use my lap-top. I'll keep it in mind but I don't promise i'll have it soon.

Next week when I switch my ECU to MAP2 I will do a dB-Level measurement too. One with and one without Baffles. I'll try too make sound-clips as well.

How much of a sound difference do the baffles offer???

And are they available for most Tig systems???

The sport version of the Tigs for the 04 come with a 50mm core and a set of baffles already fitted.

From memory they produce 97db and 103db with and without the baffles.

I had abeen quizzing Dek about having baffles made for the race cans and they are now available, no figures on noise levels but I'd expevct them to be in the high 90's on the race cans.

Dek told me the inner-diameter on the baffles are the same for the sport and race version (24mm) so i'd expect the same db levels for both (97 db).

PS: 60mm or 24mm that's a hugh difference. So i'd expect the bike to run to rich with baffles installed.

My God this is torture still no Tigs, and I've become emotionally attached to a set of slip ons that I've never even touched!

Fife is obviously the hardest place in which to get your hands on Tigcraft parts Dek - seems to be just you and me that are still waiting. Still, absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that
