Lo and behold, after a year's ownership of a 2007 Tuono, I discovered this afternoon that there is a small enclosed storage compartment in the seat cowl. I was "gob smacked" (correct term my English cousins?) that I had overlooked this, oh, maybe 50 times. Duh...

Maybe i was lucky then, i found it the very first time i took it off.I was equally gob smacked as this secret pocket offers more storage then the whole of my previous cbr600rr. Well found that man.

Secret pocket?

Do you mean the general space under the pillion seat, or is there literally a compartment i have never noticed?

Hell yes, it rocks! I keep my right angled tire pressure gauge, my Geico gecko side stand pad from the '07 Moto GP at Laguna Seca, and my GA registration in there,

Yes, I too discovered the "secret trap door" in the seat hump after several months of ownership, very handy space. I keep one of those "get you home" puncture repair kits in there, the one that includes the miniature air cylinders for re-inflating your tyre after repair.

There's not that much space there - once the lippy & hairdryer are packed.

I guess everyone is allowed to be "pretty" once in a while. From the picture that you have as your avatar, it looks like you have a pillion pad. My '07 came WITH the 15 tooth and the cowl. I have the sidestand pad, tire gauge, and a couple of bucks for emergencies stashed. I don't put the rego in there as if the bike is stolen then they have ALL my info. No likey. As well, the wife will occasionally want to go pillion instead of riding her own bike, so I have to swap out the cowl for the pillion pad. Get rid of that cylinder in the tail and double your storage.

I keep my right angled tire pressure gauge, in there,

A useful piece of kit - almost as useful as right angled valve stems......:bump:
