Guys,
Has anyone played with custom lights on the RS125?
When i say custom I mean retro fit lights (head lights etc) from another bike, car etc to these bikes or seen something? maybe you may simply have a suggestion?

Guys,
No ideas or seen anything ?
I am going for a naked streetfighter look, for the look I guess though mainly to reduce weight and have something diferent. I have most of the front end sorted except the lights. Here is what i have todate, if you can imagine and picture it and have any suggestion as to what i can use for lights I would be most appreciative.

I just brought a carbon fly screen for the Triumph speed triple:

I am going to make a custom triple and will have it so this bolts straight to that rather brackets and spaced away.

I have a new small dash D4, on order which will tuck neatly behind the screen:

A pair of Votex clip on's which I intend to place on top of the bottom bracket:

An upgraded Brembo master cylinder will be used:

Oh yeah, I have the mirrors sorted with a pair of mirror end weights: http://www.triumph.co.uk/australia/clothingAccessoriesPopup.aspx?GID=2

I intended to make a small bracket that clamped off the forks to support a headlight/s or either from the custom triple. Not sure a single round or even double would look good. Thought about two small projected halogens but unsure and would love some suggestions.

can't wait to see some pics, interested to see how you'll get the brembo's set up.I guess you can use some tips from random seeing as he has already done it.

Like the clips on's.

Really love the look of woodcraft clip ons but i don't think they do any to fit rs125.

Is it new shape or old?

Ok,
Well all the parts are ordered and awaiting them to arrive. All from USA and expect approx 3wks. I liked the fact that the Vortex use a tube and allow a 54mm. This means I can drop the bars to the bottom of the triple and also look at changing them later to titanium tube. The bike is the latest shape, 08. I looked on line and found a heap of the RCS19 for sale but no 15's and posted a thread on here at which Random commented that he used one and it was sensative but usable. The fact they are not stocked in Australia yet and would be $780. I brought from US, delivered for $460 so figured I would give it ago.

Any suggestions on a front light to tie in with that or even indicators?
Been looking through everything and was just wondering about the 2004 headlight?

Check out my thread for info, see pages 4 and 5 especially. Ive used one of the decent clear design headlights from a Bandit 1200 for mine

Random,
Maybe seeing it together i will think differently and also a personal thing I guess. I just want to keep the bike as modern looking as well as different and light (as weight). I just have this whole older style stigma about the single chrome headlight. I am also not sure it would tie with the whole expected look or even the Triumph fly screen. What you are doing is awesome though and custom, which is what it all about. I am trying to find something totally different and that will click when i see it. I am praying others on here with creative minds and a broader knowledge of parts will offer something that will click.

Im planning on painting the bowl and rim black at some point, looks a lot different. I looked at aftermarket units but most looked a bit cheap. I wanted something that worked really well too, and thats prob one of the best performing units i could find ,that could be fitted reasonably easily

Good luck trying to find something. You may want to try StreetFighter magazine for some link if youre that way inclined. The bikes in there are a bit tacky but has some useful links to companies

How about wonky BMW lights? dual lights off a Buell? more to your taste?

Yes, going for a whole custom 1 off look. Something totally different!
Just ordered a complete Sharkskinz tail and draft as one peice. I guess that will be about the only part that will resemble the 08. Was the cheapest and lightest option to sort out the rear.
As for the lights, I actually saw yesterday in a Harley shop(Frazers) a newer model that has a black round light like you are talking with a small cowl that sweeps up as a sheild. Thought that might work but looked a little plain. Maybe this will assist you?

I also saw a buell there with some smaller projected lights inside a housing, did have me thinking. I have also seen the streetfighter with the BMW lights, love the halo ring they have but not sure. I will have to wait for the fly screen to get in first I think, place the bike on the ute and drive around and place some against it and have a look. I am honestly starting the think the 2004 RS250 headlight might work well. It has a small pointed dip in the centre of the lights that may tie well with the fly screen as i am sure it has a ppoint in the center of it. I guess i am thinking something narrow and sleeker as the 250's might be best. I need to keep it small and sleek as the bike will be and keep it proportional.
Am really interested to see yours with a black round light, that will be interesting and may really set it off!

What do people think of these for the rear?
Was thinking I could either use a complete LED across from one side to the other with indicator, brake & indicator. Maybe a customised original brake light with the clear lens and red LED's instead and LED indicator either side.
