View Full Version : Height and weight of guys racing the 125

Im seriously thinking of taking the plunge on a 125, but before I do I want to make sure I am not to heavy for it, esp if I decide to eventually race it. I am a whopping 5'8 160 pounds....is that to heavy for the lil guy? I was using the 250 at 190 and have obviously slimmed down but wanted to make sure it wouldnt be struggling with me on it.

Thanks :)

I just had one of the expert riders take my RS for a few laps at this weekends races. Not sure how tall he is, but he said he weighed around 200. He was only off my best lap times by about 3 seconds and most of that was because he didn't want to wad my bike up.

I'm only 5'4" and 120 lbs.

Okay cool, so then shouldn't be an issue...

I was debating just going out and finding another 250 again.

The 250's are nice. Much faster too. There is a guy that brings one out for trackdays, but doesn't race, and he kills me on the straights and corner exits. But that's some of the fun of the 125. It really makes you work on your corner skills!

The 125 is a brand new too and that's a nice thought.

Ya, I had a 250 last summer but Id like to have something new like you said. Man and I thought the 250 was slow on the straights :D
