View Full Version : FP Airbox?

Hi, im new here, have only a RS for about a week now,
the kid before me has modified it a little. Its a 99, he said it was full power.

My question is at the moment it has a Pipercross foam filter on it, and i assume is jetted to suit.

Although it feels lumpy till around 7k then its there in the powerband,
Will i get any better responce from going back to a "original full power airbox, with a pipercross/aprillia full power filter inside?"

you would probably gain more torque so yeh would be better, aslong as u rejet it.
where abouts are you from?

Im not even sure if this is a uk forum,
but im from somerset.

Well its already been jet to suit the pipercross foam filter, would i need to rejet for the full power airbox, is there that much difference inbetween them both?

Not nessasarily after more power as per say, just a bit smoother through the range,

you're right this isn't a UK forum, but us English lads need somewhere to go don't we? :p:

true true,
anyone know if the pipercross foam cone air filter will have the same jetting needed as a FP airbox with fp filter?

nope you would need to go down around 5 sizes on the main jet otherwise it would run like poop.
go to tjtuning.co.uk/forums thats a uk forum and loads of ppl have rs125's:)
