Is there a adjuster for the 34mm like the 28mm has? The screw is in an impossable spot. I tried a piece of hose but it lasted like 3 turns and fell off. Should I just weld the old one to the new screw?

lol thats not the idea screw, thats the air/fuel mixture, set that from 2 3 turns. Its the big screw that is coming out the carb, the more it goes in, the higher it idles

I have been a certified auto mechanic for 25 years and have owned many motorcycles and vehicles with carbs. I know what a idle screw is!

then you are not doing it right. Iv had two 34mm carb and the ideal screw has never been a problem. Just turn it all the way in and then bring it out until the bike seems happy with it. But with all carbs, if your running rich, it will hate you and not give you what you need.

What is the normal conditions for the year? might help if you have two carb set up. Winter and summer ect.

Honestly I dont know how this has got so weird. I just wanted to know if Delortto makes a cable adjuster for the 34mm carb like the one they put on the 28mm carb the bikes come with? Simple.

the screw is easy to reach with a stubby screwdriver... :WTF::confused:wind it all the way in and then back it off to achieve the right idle rpm, simple? 25 years experience and still learning :happy::happy::happy::happy:

I think i know what you mean. do you mean is there a black plastic knob for the idle adjuster, rather than the small screw head on the 34mm? if so, try it, see if the 28mm one fits on. It was a bit unclear what exactly you were referring to though.

The 2009 RS125 comes with a idle speed knob attached to a cable that comes out behind the carb. It doesnt fit the 34mm carb as its too small and its a bit different style with an o-ring to seal it that the 34mm screw does not have.
