not my bike, but it would be if i had the money.

i've always wanted an actual 70's 750s or s3, but this would make a nice substitute in the meantime. it's about the 5th ad down on the national owner's club website here:

somebody go buy it!

$9k??? That's thousands more than it sold for new. On that same list there's a 84 Le Mans for $3k that's the one to get.

Funny I bought that same Le Mans for $3k in 92/93 and sold it for $3500 in 94.

I'd rather have this for 6k.

Nope. THIS ONE!!

I wish I still had it but it needed to many updates (forks, flywheel, gearbox etc) since I was offered more than I bought it for I sold it and got a 1993 900ss instead. .... goodbye 70s show.

Still it was comfy enough for my wife and I to go away on weekends with it.
I miss it like I miss it's four wheel equivalent: the Alfa spyder

I'm not a Guzzi-phile, but the Lemans had to be the most beautiful Italian offering on the market when it was introduced circa 1978 (? ). Other desirables of the era were the BMW R1000S and the Kawi Z-1R.

Gotta thing for the Four Valve Head JCR?? :)
I _don't_ blame ya. It ROCKS. But you already knew that.

That is a big reason I am interested in the Griso. Looks like a Centauro (but better, has the 4V head and had the downward back sloping passenger seat corrected.

Yeah, after being lucky enough to have ridden both the Magni Australia and the Gheezi Brian (sp) at speed, they kinda changed the way I looked at Guzzi's.

I'd rather sell mine for 5k, but I don't feel its worth it to sell these days, might only get like 3 I fear and at that price I'd keep it forever than give it away
needs a washin and I got the front fender on now those are last fall, hell I got 2 seats, one stock, one custom the original tail, tank, cowl and side covers in silver and various bits 18k for miles which on a guzzi is just broken in. Wish the dealer support was better

I have a red `81 CX100(LM II) and had a red `87 LeMans IV. Had to sell the IV because if the power's there I be usin' it. Got up to 137 mph on public roads WAY too often. Sold it before I got caught.

Now my main 1 or 2up street bikes are a `03 MG 750 Breva or `04 Aprilia Scarabeo 500GT maxi-scooter. Now if I could only have 1 rig(instead of 7) it would be my Beo 500GT.

If this 1000s is a genuine "green Frame" then it is cheap and if it wasnt on the other side of the world I wouldnt hesitate in buying it.
What a bike!

I had a 78 Le Manns, new in 78. Loved that bike The solid feel and that Engine, just fantastic. Years later I converted the rear suspension to a Monoshock and painted the frame Guzzi Red. Woohoo!! With some minor engine work a stiffened front end, that Bike was Great I sure wish I had it now.
