Ordered the 154 kit, 34mm carb/manifold, Vforce 3 reeds, and the top end gasket setup. Will post to the states on monday, so hopefully it won't take much longer than a week to get here! I'm excited!:bump:

I was going to ask the same thing :plus:

Let us know how it goes! Which brand kit did you go with? Do you have access to a dyno?

Thankfully I don't need to sell anything to afford the upgrades. I'd really like to hang on to all of the OEM stuff.

I bought the Polini 154 kit.

Ah well it was worth a try. I am a bit green with envy. Go for the pipe then dude. But test it first with the stocker. I have 1000kms on mine now and it keeps gettin better all the time as its wearing in. I have an Aprilia SR50 scooter and the more miles I put on it the better it runs. I am hoping the 125 will be the same.

I want to buy a used cylinder and see how far it can be bored and then replate it. $800.00 is just too much. I would rather spend the $ on a better pipe, carb, gearing, gym membership etc...

How much is a re-plate and what piston will you put in it? Then how far are you away from the $800 of a proven, ready to fit kit?

The Polini replacement piston is about $100.00. I can bore it out myself and I think that replating is about $100.00.

The kit is actually $720 right now via the online sale. Since it's also over $250 if would be free shipping too.

For whatever it's worth, I can see your point. I am a fan of the 125cc formula, there's a genuineness to it that helps me feel some distant connection to the Talmasci's, Iannone's and Corsi's that take to the 125 GP grid.

The way the Canadian $ tanked over the last couple months, it makes the kit $1000.00 with taxes.

I got on my bike this morning and rode it to work and it runs so damn nice I am soo happy with it. Sure you need to keep the revs up going up hills, but the bike just keeps runnin beter and better the more miles I put on it. A lightweight pipe and silencer with more bark and a better air fliter setup are my next mods. I picked up a Pipercross cone filter used today for $20.00. Winter is just around the corner so I will hibernate till spring soon. Also a ram air setup might be in my future [home made of course]

Ouch!!!! That makes the bore and re-plate route a lot better business case!!!! But $720 not too bad!

The dark forces of my nature will not take over! I will resist temptation! I will not buy the 154 kit!

At least not until after I get the 34mm carb, reeds, pipe, tire warmers, etc, etc, etc....

Great to see AF1 is already getting the stuff in, though. I think I know where I'll be doing some Christmas shopping.
