My husband and I picked up my 125 yesterday. I am so happy. I got to do a few sessions on it at a track day and fell in love. I just had to have it.

Congrats!

Did you do any break in procedures prior to tracking it?

ThisEndUp- I think she tried out a demo one, and then decided to buy one.

Thats what I got out of the post anyway, I might be wrong.

I just got the call that the paperwork is in for mine, but I cant seem to unload my RS50 so the wife is saying NO until I make room for it, so someone hurry up and by my 50!!!!

cheers

Iroc07 is correct. I took my friends out on the track and loved it. I just got mine Sat. I took it for a spin up and down the street so far and I am looking into when I can do a trackday. :-)
I had to sell my NSR50 to have space for the 125 so I know how you feel LOL. I am keeping my RS50 since it has a plate her in CA. 50cc or 125cc, is anyone going to know it's not the same bike? hummmmmmmm (need lights now for the bike. LOL)

In Florida they can't tell the difference between a 50 or 250.

Hi there. Yes I got mine from Aprila/Vespa Oceanside. Joel was the guy that helped me out. I would for sure work with him again. Last I heard they were getting 10 more in, but they keep going fast. Here is their link. http://vespaoceanside.com/portal/
Don't know if it helps, but you can tell them Lisa told you about them and see what comes of it.

Oh and the bike is light like your RS50's but 100% more fun. :-)

hi.
I'm Italian... this bike is beautifull but why in America doesn't use the mirrors and arrows?

Here in the States the bike is track only. Its not a street legal bike.

Just put a deposit down for mine. Ed picked out the best one out of the bunch for me. Primus inter pares.

AF1 is waiting for some cool exhaust system to come from Europe and that's January 09 plus wiring harnesses for lights & signals.

Kinda of funny ..here in the States guys will give up a nut to get one of these bikes for a track toy. And in Euro the kids cant wait to get off them and on to the big bikes.....ha ha ha.

Any moron can go fast on a big bore bike. My reasons for the 125 purchase include
Better fuel economy,
Cheaper insurance
Less cost per mile for tire, chain and sprocket wear
Power equvalant of a 500cc 4 stroke
Owning a unique piece of racing heritage
Just a damn fun little bike to ride.

I own a 2005 Honda CRF450X with 35RWHP. THe aprilia dyno 30RWHP out of the box with no mods. The Honda had very low gearing for off road use. If the RS was geared simular it would have wicked acceleration.

Thats why i decided to drop a tooth up front.

Ya I think I might order a 16T for the front too. Top speed is not as important as pulling power up the hills and taking off.
