Attached are pics of a real installation of the Leo Vince Carbon Fiber pipe on a Mana. I like the sound - it seems to be louder at idle and quieter at speed, which ended up being perfect.

O2 sensor needs reroute, extension (couldn't find the parts) OR cut and solder extension. The reroute is tricky and impossible to photograph, but logical. I'll do the solder work on a rainy day because the reroute strains the connection.

Stock exhaust weighs a lot less than it looks like it should- this saves 7-8 pounds. I don't notice any HP gain, but it could be there. The sound is worth it. 30 minutes to install - don't tighten anything until it is all in place. The LV metal decal does come off.

The R&G Frame Sliders are beautifully done, and done right. Gigantic bolt goes from left to right, and beautifully done spacers and plastic airfoil ends go on. I don't expect to use them, but when I drop it in the drive way they'll be tested.

You do need to support the engine to install them - took about 15 minutes. Big breaker bar needed AND 13 or 14mm Allen key.

Hi there,

The Leo pipe looks very nice. I have also noticed your mana has a carbon fiber rear mudguard. That looks really nice also. Where did you get it? By the way, I live here in Orange County. Let me know if you want to meet up and talk mana sometimes.

I'm interested to learn more about this exhaust. Is it a mana specific piece? I was unable to find anything for the mana on the leo vince website. Please describe where it came from, how to get one, and if possible, post a picture of more of the bike with the pipe on so we can get an overall view of it.

Thanks!!

The exhaust is specific to the bike.

AF1 sells the exhaust. They also have a full photo of the bike- although it isn't fully installed.

LV hasn't updated their site but it is available in the US.

Support your local LV dealer.

Yeah, that's the part that kinda sucks. Still waiting for some rain so I can make an extension - it needs the 4 pin version of this- male and female with about 6 inches of wire

The R&G Frame Sliders are beautifully done, and done right.

I bought them at my local dealer so they're in business when I need Aprilia parts. My dealer may be a little inefficient for you.

R&G Racing is a UK company, and since they're closer to you than they are to me, I imagine there is a dealer in your area that can get them.

I bought a set for my Mana . They fit perfectly & are very easy to install.
Highly recommend.

RitchJ:

I just installed the LV pipe. What did you need to dismantle in order to reroute the O2 sensor?

Currently I did not reroute it but zip tied it so it doesn't touch the pipe and then wrapped in aluminum tape to reflect heat.

Odd, I did the Leo pipe on my demo Mana and do not remember anything remarkable at all in terms of getting the o2 sensor to fit? I definitely did not extend wires or anything of the sort. It is worth 4.5 bhp BTW, removing the air filter cover is worth 5 bhp and sounds wicked!

Fear not the moving the o2 thing...granted it was over a year ago but I swear I do not even remember anything at all difficult about any re-routing it may have required?

JodyH

The re-route was simple and did not require extensions.

You are right.........

After some fooling around figuring out how to reposition the lead from the ECU, I got the O2 sensor probe perfectly rerouted without any cutting or extensions.

The bike sounds terrific. Deep rumble upon acceleration.

Question.............does the air filter remain solidly in place by removing the cover?? I haven't popped it off yet.

Indeed it does, it is still bolted down with the cover off, try it, you will love the results! Does not go dangerous lean either.

Do you think the headache was from the exhaust? I made a 3 hour trip last Friday and the 3 hour return trip last Sunday with a LV exhaust and no issues.

It was my first and only trip with this exhaust. So I can not assure. But it was really noisy in my helmet... Even the PM-Tuning of my Vespa is silent over this one
I'll try it again tomorrow...

On longer trips, I usually wear earplugs that play music (earphones) so I don't really notice the noise as much.
