The 2009 RS125 has made it to the USA as a special one-time only deal. Figure around 100-150 units made it to the USA. Get yours now.

This forum will be moderated, and non-USA bikes will not be discussed.

Ed, what sort of lap times were the 125's doing?

I'm not sure what to ask for as a comparable time - I realize there were some 250s there also...

we didnt have lap timers....I'm VERY slow, and was still passing lots of guys on 1000s. Even with better riders on the 1000s, I still could hang decently on it.......its all about corner speed......it rails

I'm lucky enough to have gotten a pair of sequentially serial numbered bikes

One to wreck, I mean for track days, and one for display in my office (it's cheap art that might appreciate- or be used for spares) I'll post pics when I get it up the stairs.

Awesome little bike - feels lighter than my Vespa. Good luck on streeting it though.

Headlights and taillights are in place to fill the holes in the fairings. There is no headlight wiring supplied.

Turnsignals and mirrors are not supplied, but the mirror bases are in place to hold the fairings on.

AF1 have got the mirrors and turnsignals in stock I believe, they are the same as supplied on various other Aprilia bikes.

There is no-where on the bikes to bolt the rear turn signals - there is a not license plate bracket, which is the factory method of securing them to.

2-strokes, for emissions reasons, have been unstreetable for some time here in the US in all states I think unless you get around the law someway. 50cc 2-strokes may be allowed on the street or maybe were allowed longer than 125cc and up 2-strokes.

The USA spec bikes are the same basically as the Euro 3 bikes with these exceptions. Powervalve installed from factory (in some e3 markets as well), ECU is pre-drilled to derestrict ignition mapping, secondary air injection is deleted, pipe is Junior Grand Prix style, no catalyzers in the chamber or header, carburetor is the same bore size as e3 but jetted differently (richer, quite a bit) and none of the street lights work oh and the airbox has the "full power" intake snorkel.

can we get the moderators to make a US RS 125 section like the RS 250 has? I would like to begin a section stricty for the US version RS 125.. I am thinking about purchasing and would like to have a place to trade off information..

You are pretty much in the right place. This forum is dedicated to the RS125 E3 as delivered to the United States.

There are still some European members of this section, but they have had access to the new shape RS125 since 2006, so we don't want to run them off unless they're posting garbage.

In which case please let me know and I'll remove the offending user/post/thread.

Welcome to the forum, please let me know if you have any questions.

I have no pictures, but here is a nice explanation of the throttle valve cutaway. Higher number being a greater cutaway.

The full manual can be found on http://www.ducatimeccanica.com/dellorto_guide/dellorto_3_6.html
