Hell just change it not to expensive. Get the Kevlar Malossi Belt and you wont have to deal with it again for a good while.

Time for a change, but I prefer the Stock belt. Either way, the belt looks worn, and a new belt will only help performance. No sense in getting stuck out on a ride due to a $50 part.

Yes that's what I tought it's worn... 8000km already... it's already a kevlar belt but as you can see it doesn't live longer as stock (my top speed is now about 70km/h and was about 82 when it was new.)

I have a new one ready to install on mine, stock Aprilia belt, as my original belt has almost 6,000 miles on it, and maintenance log shows it should be changed at 5,000 miles/8,000 km interval. So your right on target for a change.

Because the top speed decrease is big, acceleration is about the same.

My top speed is skewed due to BBK, and stock gears. And, I haven't changed the belt yet, but I have it waiting for the change.

What kind of belt are you going to replace it with?
I just put on a Malossi special. I don't think it's very special, I seem to have lost some acceleration. This belt is shorter than the Aprilia belt.

Heh the belt of the front fixed pulley... nasty fin damage there...What do you mean by the belt of the front fixed pulley? Hum... fin damage is even worse on the hidden part :) that's the price to pay until you find the right technique to disassemble the variator :)

Hey all....I had a question.... My belt is stretched and I only have 1800 miles on it. Is this normal? I have another stock belt...brand new...and I had a place measure it for me and this is what they found: 24 - 29.5 / snug 24 - 30.0 / pulled tight
I went to napa and they can get a gates for 38.00 + 8.00 freight...
But the dealer can get a stock one for 33.00...
Should I consider looking into a different variator to use a different belt size? j/c...Thanx
