Just wondering if anyone did a dyno to a 2009 yet? I just ordered a LV ZX for my '09 from AF1 which will prob take awhile to get since on backorder. But was also thinking about in the near future doing gears and Polini BBK.

Just curious if anyone has done the gears and BBK to their '09 yet and if so, what kinda results is anyone getting? I emailed AF1 and they haven't been able to mod & dyno an '09 yet but they said the Polini BBK should be good for a couple extra HP.

Also I cant seem to reset the trip odometer. Can anyone tell me how you do so. I read the manual but for whatever reason the trips won't reset.

For that matter, does anyone have a print out of a dyno run with an SR50 49cc or 69cc?

If you have 6 g rollers, I doubt you have the `09 with the Piaggio engine.

You dont want to ride that scoot faster than abouit 40MPH casue its got the small 10 inch wheels and really weak suspension. Plus the scoots were made for real small frame people. Its really light and low to the ground and easy to handle. Oh and its giot weak drum brakes with cables.

No I dont have a 09. I have a 06 with Morini engine.

I dunno what scooter your talking about cause the SR50s have 13 inch wheels n the 09's have steel braided brake lines with stainless steel discs.

Since there are no 09's here yet, NO but we had both the Starol DiTech and mine on the dyno at NC Racing and both landed at 5.54bhp, both pretty same setup, de-restricted (2.8.0) stock all through except 7gr rollers & Malossi Special Belt & Fly Clutch, I have seen other Aprilia/Morini de-restricted scoots at almost the same numbers...

DP says: The Piaggio is probaly in the same leauge...

Do a search on 'sr50 dyno' & there are a lot of good posts; some older posts by Micah & Jon at AF1 doing some runs of older sr50s, @ 50cc & 70cc.

Dyno runs on scooters w/ a CVT aren't real-world accurate, but they can give a good baseline for comparing changes to the same bike. I've only done mine once (see pg. 60 in the Chit-chat thread for my graphs/comments), but I'd like to get it back in for some comparison runs. As stated in my dyno posts, the guy running it started out slow & gradually revved up, then stopped when he got nervous about giving it even more gas. It showed just over 6hp, 3.95 torque & 80mph at around 8k rpms. Real #'s? Who knows... it was just fun to be standing next to it while it wound up into the banshee zone

Pffft scared of a reving 50cc scooter. I was damn nervous when they blasted thru the gears on my 86 Suzi GSXR1100. Felt like the whole damn building was going to come down from the vibrations in the air.

Lol... I can imagine...

It's just that it was a friend of mine that works there who was revving it & he'd never heard it up that fast & didn't want to risk anything blowing. Like I said, I would have hammered it further. And not to split hairs, but it's a 70cc ;)
