a mate went out on his 08 blade last week and holed the radiator, which enticed me to purchase a set of rad guards, the thing id like to know is,

1 is there an easy way to fit them when they arrive?

2 is it possible to paint polished alloy, or should i leave them as is..

for anyone else who hasn't bought beowulf guards yet, if you want black mesh rather than the gold B&Q sell - buy an office waste paper bin or file tray from Ikea - they are about 4 - and chop it up.

or the file holders

I`ve don the bottom rad with alloy mesh . cut near enough to shape of pan front and replaced . Screws gone through hole in mesh ok but toooo bright , gold? or black as above and probably look better. I always copper slip all theads when replaced, very good habit

Thanks Batfastard,

Here a photo of what it looks like when installed. I used 1 set of file holders to do the radiators, as well as the air scoops and belly pan.
